7. Using the MRZ / NFC / Smart Card
1) Overview
To read cards, use Machine-Readable Zone (MRZ)/ Near Filed Commucation (NFC)/ Smart Card
** MRZ/ NFC/ Smart Card is only available for the models with MRZ/ NFC/ Smart Card installed.
MRZ/ NFC/ Smart Card can be installed to your device only through our service center.

2) To read a card using MRZ(Machine-Readable Zone) / Smart Card
Scans 1 line MRZ (IDL, CAN...), 2 lines MRZ (ID2 cards, ePP) or 3 lines MRZ (eID), reads ISO7816 Contact
& ISO14443 Contactless (RFID) chip content.
Reads all ePassports and ID documents such as national ID cards, driver’s licenses, residence permits
and others.
A. Reading Passport or ID Card
(1) Insert the Passports or ID cards with the OCR printed page facing the back of the terminal as shown.
(2) For passports, match the NFC chip of the passport to the NFC antenna on the device as shown.
