INTRODUCTION Thank you for purchasing the Generac® Power Systems, Inc. Installation Cart model 005685-0. This cart has been designed to enable an individual to move and orient a Generational Systems, Inc. Home Standby Generator. This cart is designed to be portable, easy to assemble and able to navigate uneven terrain. The operator is responsible for proper and safe use of the equipment.

ASSEMBLY Follow the instructions below for attaching the Installation Cart to a Generational Systems, Inc. Home Standby Generator. Step 1.) Once the generator has been unpack aged, remove the shipping brackets holding the generator to the shipping pallet. (See figure 1) All {4) comers Figure 1 Step 2.) Slide lifting rods through generator base holes as shown below.

Attach the left and right wheel/frame assemblies to the lifting rods as shown. See figure 3. 1/4" Quick Release Pin (x4) Figure 3 Step 4.) Attach side rail handles. See figure 4.
ASSEMBLY Follow the instructions below for attaching the Installation Cart to a Generational Systems, Inc. Home Standby Generator. Step 5.) Insert snap buttons into the ends of the side rail handles. Pay attention to the orientation of the snap buttons in relation to the side handles. Once snap buttons are correctly inserted, push top handle into place. See figure 5. OPERATION Once the hardware is removed holding the Home Standby Generator to the pallet, the Installation Cart can be operated as follows. To raise the Home Standby Unit off of the pallet, simply move the handle as shown below. To lower the Home Standby Unit, simply move the handle in the opposite direction. See figure 6. SAFETY The operator is responsible for the proper and safe use of the equipment. This safety section will describe proper moving techniques and safety checks. — A caution A — Always be aware of the terrain you will be attempting to move the Home Standby Generator through. DO NOT attempt to move a Home Standby Generator on an extremely sloped hill. This may result in a loss of control and can result in injury or damage to the unit.
