Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
If ingestion of a large amount does occur, seek medical attention. Do not induce vomiting without
medical advice. If vomiting occurs naturally, have victim lean forward to reduce risk of aspiration.
Never give anything by mouth to a victim who is unconscious or is having convulsions. Get
medical attention if any discomfort continues.
Ingestion
Direct contact with eyes may cause temporary irritation.
Most important
symptoms/effects, acute and
delayed
Treat symptomatically.
Indication of immediate
medical attention and special
treatment needed
If you feel unwell, seek medical advice (show the label where possible). Ensure that medical
personnel are aware of the material(s) involved, and take precautions to protect themselves.
General information
5. Fire-fighting measures
Dry chemical.
Suitable extinguishing media
Do not use water jet as an extinguisher, as this will spread the fire.
Unsuitable extinguishing
media
During fire, gases hazardous to health may be formed.
Specific hazards arising from
the chemical
Self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing must be worn in case of fire.
Special protective equipment
and precautions for firefighters
Move containers from fire area if you can do it without risk. Wear full protective clothing, including
helmet, self-contained positive pressure or pressure demand breathing apparatus, protective
clothing and face mask. Move containers from fire area if you can do so without risk.
Fire fighting
equipment/instructions
Use standard firefighting procedures and consider the hazards of other involved materials.
Specific methods
No unusual fire or explosion hazards noted. This product is not flammable.
General fire hazards
6. Accidental release measures
Keep unnecessary personnel away. Keep people away from and upwind of spill/leak. Do not touch
damaged containers or spilled material unless wearing appropriate protective clothing. Local
authorities should be advised if significant spillages cannot be contained. For personal protection,
see section 8 of the SDS. Observe precautions from other sections.
Personal precautions,
protective equipment and
emergency procedures
Soak up with inert absorbent material. Clean contaminated surface thoroughly. Stop the flow of
material, if this is without risk. Dike the spilled material, where this is possible. Following product
recovery, flush area with water.
Never return spills to original containers for re-use. For waste disposal, see section 13 of the SDS.
Clean up spills immediately, observing precautions in Protective Equipment section. Sweep up and
shovel into suitable containers for disposal.
Methods and materials for
containment and cleaning up
Prevent entry into waterways, sewers, basements or confined areas.
Environmental precautions
7. Handling and storage
Do NOT pressurize, cut, heat, or weld containers. Empty product containers may contain product
residue. Avoid prolonged or repeated skin contact with this material. Avoid breathing
gas/vapors/mist/fumes. Do not take internally. Do not handle or store near an open flame, heat or
other sources of ignition. Do not taste or swallow. Avoid contact with eyes. Wash thoroughly after
handling.
Precautions for safe handling
Keep away from heat and sources of ignition. Store in a closed container away from incompatible
materials. Store in cool place. Store away from incompatible materials (see Section 10 of the
SDS).
Conditions for safe storage,
including any incompatibilities
8. Exposure controls/personal protection
No exposure limits noted for ingredient(s).
Occupational exposure limits
No biological exposure limits noted for the ingredient(s).
Biological limit values
Use process enclosures, local exhaust ventilation, or other engineering controls to control airborne
levels below recommended exposure limits.
Appropriate engineering
controls
Individual protection measures, such as personal protective equipment
Wear safety glasses with side shields (or goggles). Wear safety glasses; chemical goggles (if
splashing is possible).
