cables or conduits entering above the level of
uninsulated live parts shall use fittings listed for use in
wet locations as required by 312.2 in the NEC.
NOTE: If aluminum conductors are used, apply corrosion
inhibitor to conductors if required by the aluminum
conductor manufacturer. After tightening terminal lugs,
carefully wipe away any excess corrosion inhibitor.

Tighten terminal lugs to the torque values as noted on the
decal located on the inside of the door. After tightening
terminal lugs, carefully wipe away any excess corrosion
inhibitor.
Connecting the ATS Control Cable
Use a CAT-5 cable to connect the Inverter ATS control”
port on the controller to the “TRANS (ATS)” port on the
Inverter. Use CAT-5 with 600V insulation, and route away
from the Utility and Inverter supply conductors. See NEC
Article 725.136(D) for more information on the installation
requirements. See Figure 3-4, Figure 3-5, and Figure 3-
6.

Equipment damage. Verify all conductors are tightened
to the factory specified torque value. Failure to do so
could result in damage to the switch base.
