OVERLOAD PROTECTION/CIRCUIT BREAKER

1. Set the power switch on the sander to the off posi-

tion and disconnect the machine from the power

source.

2. Unscrew the 2 screws D (on top and bottom of the

control box front cover) then remove the front cover

and press the blue reset button E.

3. Re-install the control box cover.

4. Reconnect the sander to the power source.

5. You can now restart the sander by pushing on the

green button ON.

SWITCH OFF

The magnetic safety switch on this sander is equipped with an overload protection feature. To prevent an electrical

overload from damaging the motor, in the event of a spike in line voltage or amperage draw, the internal overload

protector will automatically be tripped, thereby cutting off power to the motor. To reset the overload protection

switch after it has been tripped proceed as follows:

CONNECTING TO A POWER SOURCE

TO REDUCE THE RISK OF SHOCK OR FIRE DO NOT OPERATE THE UNIT

WITH A DAMAGED POWER CORD OR PLUG. REPLACE DAMAGED

CORD OR PLUG IMMEDIATELY.

TO AVOID UNEXPECTED OR UNINTENTIONAL START-UP, MAKE SURE

THAT THE POWER SWITCH IS IN THE OFF POSITION BEFORE CON-

NECTING TO A POWER SOURCE.

Once the assembly steps have been completed, uncoil the power cord

and plug into an appropriate outlet. Refer back to the section entitled

“Electrical Requirements” and make sure all requirements and ground-

ing instructions are followed. When sanding operations have been

completed turn off and unplug the sander from the power source.

SWITCH OFF

TO PREVENT UNWANTED OR UNAUTHORIZED START-UP OR USAGE, REMOVE THE LOCK-OUT KEY AND STORE IT IN A SAFE

PLACE, OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN, WHENEVER THE SANDER IS NOT IN USE.

This model 15-205 is equipped with a Magnetic 2-step

safety switch to prevent unwanted or unintentional start-

up and unauthorized use of the sander. The switch assem-

bly is equipped with a GREEN “START” button A, an extra-

large easy access RED stop panel B, and a lock-out key C.

To start the sander

: Insert the lock-out key C and press on

the GREEN “START” button A.

To stop the sander

: Press on the RED “STOP” panel, B.

Once the RED “STOP” panel has been pressed, the sander

can only be started by pressing once again on the RED

“STOP” panel to release the green button, then by pressing

on the green button.

UP BE CERTAIN THAT THE POWER SWITCH HAS

BEEN SET TO THE OFF POSITION BEFORE RE-SETTING

THE CIRCUIT BREAKER.

Note: If the sander is perma-

nently connected to a circuit

(hard-wired), set the wall panel

circuit breaker or main circuit

interrupter to the off position.

CLOSE UP VIEW TILTING THE TABLE B BEFORE MAKING ANY ADJUSTMENTS, MAKE SURE THAT THE SWITCH IS IN THE “OFF” POSITION AND THAT THE POWER CORD IS UNPLUGGED. 1. Loosen the table locking handle A on both sides of the table. 2. Tilt the table to the desired angle, as indicated on the bevel scale B. 3. Re-tighten the locking handles to secure the table in position. A CONNECTING TO A DUST COLLECTOR DO NOT OPERATE THIS SANDER WITHOUT AN ADEQUATE DUST COLLECTION SYSTEM PROPERLY INSTALLED AND RUNNING.

. Remove the workpiece from the table. 4. Turn on your dust collector. ALWAYS TURN ON THE DUST COLLECTOR BEFORE STARTING THE SANDER AND ALWAYS TURN OFF THE SANDER BEFORE TURNING OFF THE DUST COLLECTOR. 5. Insert the lock-out key and press on the GREEN “START” button to start the sander. 6. Place the workpiece on the table, opposite the rotation direction of the disc, and holding it firmly and flat on the table, push the workpiece against the sanding disc with gentle but firm pressure.

Replace an installed, worn sanding disc as follows: A B 1. Make sure the sander is turned off and unplugged. 2. Loosen and remove the 3 screws that attach the guard A, then remove the guard. 3. Remove the worn sanding disc from the wheel. 4. Peel off the backing sheet from the new sanding disc and carefully adhere one half of the disc to the wheel. 5. Rotate the wheel half a turn, and press the other half of the sanding disc into place as shown in B. 6. Re-install the guard.
