Unit Location
TheDH95canbeinstalledinavarietyoflocationstomeettheowner’sneedsaslistedbelow.Inallcaseskeepthe
followingcautionsinmind:
• Theunitisdesignedtobeinstalledindoorsinaspacethatisprotectedfromrain,oodingand/orotherforms
ofexcesswater.Unitisnotdesignedtobeexposedtochlorinatedpoolconditionsorspaceswhereunitwillbe
exposedtocorrosivechemicalsorconditions.
• Installtheunitwithspacetoaccessthefrontpanelformaintenanceandservice.Alsoalloweasyaccessto
theltercoverpanel.DO NOT INSTALL THE UNIT WITH THE FRONT PANEL OR FILTER COVER PANEL
INACCESSIBLE.
• Avoiddischargingtheairdirectlyatpeople,overthewaterinpoolareas,orotherareasorobjectswhere
dehydrationorevaporationofmoistureisnotdesired.
• Ifusednearwetareas,becertainthereisNOchancetheunitcouldfallintothewaterorbesplashedandthatitis
wiredintoaGROUNDFAULTINTERRUPTERprotectedcircuit.
• AsecondarydrainpanMUSTbeplacedundertheunitifinstalledabovealivingareaoraboveanareawhere
waterleakagecouldcausedamage(seelocalcodesforotherrequirements).
• DO NOTpositiontheDH95directlyonstructuralmemberswherenoiseorvibrationmaybeobjectionable.The
DH95isequippedwithadjustablesupportfeettoraiseandleveltheunitfromthemountingsurface,these
adjustablefeetshouldbeutilizedtoprovideimproveddrainagefromthedrainpanandshouldbeadjustedtotilt
slightlytowardthedrainutilized.
• TheDH95shouldbelocatedneartheexistingairhandlingsystemtominimizetherequiredductworkfor
connectingoftheDH95totheexistingairhandlingsystem.Whentheremotecontroloptionisused,thecontrol
(humidistat)unitmustbelocatedinthespacethatistobeconditioned.Thecontrol(humidistat)maybelow
voltage(24volt)andshouldbeconnectedtotheDH95withcodeapproved,lowvoltagethermostatcable.
• WhenlocatingtheDH95inareasofextremeheatorhighhumidity,>120-degrees/90%humidity,additional
externalinsulationmayberequiredtopreventundesiredcondensationontheexterioroftheunit.
