Control panel All the digital piano functions can be controlled from the control panel.
owner's manual Preset selection The presets are the timbral resource of Rp700. Their structure allows to optimize the recalled multisample, the associated effects and control parameters. Starting the instrument the n.1 preset GRANDPIANO1 is automatically selected. In this way, you have at your disposal Rp700 main grand piano sound for you practise. Press the DATA UP button to change the instrument preset.
owner's manual Function edit menu Dynamic curve selection: TOUCH Keep pressed the selection key TOUCH (G7) on the keyboard, and press the DATA UP button on the control panel. Pressing the DATA button for the first time, the vocal guide signals that the NORMAL curve is currently active. TOUCH To select the default NORMAL curve, press the two DATA UP/DOWN buttons at the same time, keeping the TOUCH function key (G7) on the piano keyboard pressed.
owner's manual Temperaments selection: TEMPERAMENTS This function allows to modify the current piano temperament. The default set up correspond to the EQUAL temperament, but other three different temperament can be easy recalled.
owner's manual Filtering MIDI data: M. FILTER In case the Rp 700 is used to control other instruments connected via MIDI, it could be necessary to filter the Control and Program change messages from the MIDI transmission, in order to avoid, for instance, that a preset selected on the Rp700 recalls a sound on the external unit. The default setup of the function is M.FILTER OFF (disabled). To activate the MIDI filter, press the M.FILTER key (G7) on the keyboard and the DATA UP button on the control panel.

The MIDI protocol transfers control data from the piano to the sequencer software installed on the PC and viceversa.
