C)orabove104degreesF(40degreesC).Storetoolandbatterypackinalocationwhere
temperaturewillnotexceed122degreesF(50degreeC).Thisisimportanttopreventserious
damagetothebatterycells.
•Placechargeronatnon-ammablesurfaceandawayfromammable
materialswhenre-chargingthebatterypack.
•Toreduceriskofelectricshock,unplugchargerfromoutletbeforeattemptingany
maintenanceorcleaning.
•Ifoperatingtimehasbecomeexcessivelyshorter,stopoperating
immediately.Itmayresultinariskofoverheating,possibleburnsandevenanexplosion.
•Batteryleakagemayoccurunderextremeusageortemperatureconditions.Avoid
contactwithskinandeyes.Ifliquidcomesincontactwithyourskin,washimmediatelywithsoap
andwater.Ifliquidgetsintoyoureyes,washthemoutwithclearwaterforatleast10minutes,and
thenseekmedicalattentionrightaway.
•Donotattempttouseastep-uptransformer,anenginegeneratororDCpower
receptacle.
•Donotshortthebatterypack.Donottouchtheterminalwithanyconductivematerial.
Avoidstoringbatterypackinacontainerwithothermetalobjectssuchasnails,coins,etc.Always
protectthebatteryterminalswhenbatterypackisnotused.
•Donotchargebatterypackinsideaboxorcontainerofanykind.The
batterymustbeplacedinawellventilatedareaduringcharging.
•Donotallowanythingtocoverorclogthechargervents.
•Donotincineratethebatterypackevenifitisseverelydamagedoriscompletely
wornout.Thebatterypackcanexplodeinare.
•DisconnectChargerfromthepowersourcewhennotinuse.Thiswill
reducetherisktoelectricshockordamagetothechargerifmetalpiecesshouldfallintothe
opening.Italsowillhelppreventdamagetothechargerduringapowersurge.
