Converting your Handles
The handle of these generators are
attached to the frame with
4 carriage bolts. You must replace these
bolts with either quick detach pins (Fig
5.4 & 5.5) OR GenTent universal folding
handles. (Fig 5.6-8) The GenTent should
be initially installed with the handles off
the generator.
Convert Handles to Quick Detach Pins
This option allows the handles to be
quickly detached/re-attached. Fig
5.4 & 5.5 show two different types of
quick detach pins, a clevis pin in Fig 5.4
with a hitch pin clip, and a quick detach
ring pin in Fig 5.5, available at most
hardware stores. You will need four (4) 5/16” x 2” pins.
To move the generator, remove the elastic from the left and right of the electrical panel
and lift the canopy up. Install the handle with the quick detach pins and move the
generator. When it becomes time to use the generator, move it into place outdoors,
remove the handles and put the elastics back in place under the GenTent clamps to the
left and right of the electrical panel.
