• The battery is protected by the rugged construction of the NRU assembly and by compression
rings/sleeves.
o Please refer to the NuSeis Technical Manual for information on battery
maintenance/replacement.
o Attempts to open the NRU/access the battery must never be carried out by anyone other
than GTI or GTI-certified personnel.
o Only certified/approved NuSeis battery packs are allowed for use in the NRU

DISPOSE OF USED BATTERIES ACCORDING TO LOCAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS
• Charger is built into the NRU. This allows charging by simply applying a DC voltage to the top
assembly MIMs connectors. 12 to 15vdc can be used for charging purposes, 12vdc is optimal.
