5. Allow food to cook for the desired time. If desired, use a kitchen timer.

Important: Do not leave the appliance unattended during use.
Tip: You can use light pressure on the handle to press and heat the food to your liking.
Important: Do not use heavy pressure on the lid at any time.
6. After the selected time the food should be done. If you prefer longer cooking,
simply follow the steps beginning at step 4.
7. Using a pot holder, carefully open the lid.
8. Remove food using the plastic spatula provided.
Important: Always use heatproof plastic, silicone or wood utensils to avoid
scratching the nonstick surface of the plates. Never use metal skewers, tongs, forks
or knives.
9. When nished cooking, turn the dial to LO. Unplug to turn the appliance o; the
red power light turns o.
Important: The heat continues to be ON until the appliance is unplugged.

full cooking plate of food. Cooking time will depend upon thickness of food. Use a
fork inserted into the center of the food to test for doneness. (Be careful not to touch
the cooking plate.) If the food needs longer cooking, check periodically to avoid
overcooking.
Note: Brush vegetables with olive oil and season with salt and pepper before grilling.
