8.1 Physical Connection
Connect the RS-485 wires from the GV-CS1320 to GV-I/O Box 4 Ports.

The table below shows the wire assignments of RS-485 connection on GV-CS1320.
Wire color Definition
Red 12V DC
Black GND
Blue RS-485 +
Light Blue RS-485 -
For GV-I/O Box 4 Ports, four Door Entry / Exit Control related functions such as Door Sensor,
Door / Gate Button, Fire Sensor, and Tamper Sensor are available for users. The table below
specifies the corresponding input and output pins for each function.

Note:
1. The pin of Output 1 is for opening the door, Output 2 for sending the alarm and Output
3 for triggering the door bell. The pin of Output 4 on I/O Box is not functional in the
application.
2. GV-I/O Box 8 Ports and GV-I/O Box 16 Ports are not supported.
3. When GV-I/O Box 4 Ports is properly installed in the application, the door sensor
(yellow) and door button (light red) wires of GV-CS1320 will no longer be effective.
