Important safety instructions Follow all operating instructions. Do not use the monitor near water such as bath tubs, sinks, washing machines, swimming pools. Unplug the monitor from the wall outlet before cleaning. Wipe with a soft cloth; do not use liquid or spray cleaners. Never connect accessories not explicitly approved by the manufacturer. Such accessories can increase the risk of fire, electric shock and other personal injury.
Important safety instructions Ensure good ventilation for the monitor. The unit is designed with slots in the cabinet to protect it from overheating. Do not block these slots by any objects and do not place the monitor on a bed, sofa, rug or other similar surfaces. Do not place it near a heat register or any other source of heat.

Functions of the remote control If you use the remote control, always point it directly to the IR sensor of the plasma monitor. 1 Mute Cut sound (mute) on/ off 2 On/ Off switch Switching the power on and off 3 TV/VIDEO Selection of the signal source from multiple input sources such as TV, AV1, AV2, S-Video, Component and Analogue TGB as well as DTV YpbPr. 4 V. Monitor installation The monitor can be installed in various ways, such as wall mounting, table stand type etc. Wall mounting (optional) • Install this monitor only in a location with adequate ventilation.
Monitor installation 1. Before installing the monitor, assemble to the same inch count of the PDP, as shown at left (2). 2. Lift the monitor brackets off the mounting bracket, as shown with an arrow. Monitor installation 1. Drill 8 holes as shown at left. Using an 8 mm drill appropriate for the wall material, drill each hole to a depth of 80 mm or more. 2. Clean out each drilled hole. 3. Insert an anchor supplied with the wall mounting bracket into each hole. 4. Mount the wall mounting bracket on the wall using the 8 screws supplied. Monitor installation 1. Have two strong persons lift up the monitor as follows: Carefully lift up the monitor and place it securely on the wall mounting bracket (see the arrow). Press the bottom of the monitor towards the wall (as shown by arrow 2), so that the monitor clicks into position audibly on to the wall mounting bracket. 2. Fasten the screen only by the provided attachment hinge and the screws on the speakers. Fix as shown in Fig. A, parts a and b of the attachment hinge with the screws (M4x8) on the monitor.

Not applicable to GTV4210 CAUTION • Be sure the monitor power is turned off before making any connections. Die place the speakers in the position you want. Install the speaker wires on the monitor and speaker. Be sure to connect the positive "+" wire to the “+”-input and the negative "-" wire to the “-“-input. Connect the left monitor input to left speaker and right monitor input to right speaker.

Press the TV/VIDEO button on the remote control and select TV on the screen display (OSD). 2. Use the PG+, PG- button or the numeric buttons to change TV programme for your programme selection. 3. Press PRE PG button on the remote control to tune to the previous programme. 4.
Watching videos (Scart type) The image quality is considerably better compared to a normal video recorder connected to video input if you connect an S-VIDEO video recorder to the S-VIDEO input socket. If you use the Scart type, proceed with the cabling as described below. Avoid fixed images over a long period. Such burnt-in images come mostly from video films in the 4:3 image format or if programme information is being shown.
Watching videos (Scart type) • On connecting external devices to the plasma monitor, always ensure that the colours of the connections match (e.g. video-yellow, audio (L) - white, audio (R) - red). If you have only a mono video recorder, connect the audio cable of the video recorder to the AUDIO (L/MONO) input of the plasma screen. The image quality is considerably better compared to a normal video recorder connected to video input if you connect an S-VIDEO video recorder to the S-VIDEO input socket.

Basic operation Switching the Plasma-TV on and off Press the Power button on the remote control. The PDP will turn on and you will be ready to use all its features. You can also use the Power button on the front panel of the appliance. NOTE * If your monitor does not switch on operating the switch-on button: Press the MODE button and check if the screen mode was selected. Tuning TV channels 1. OSD Menu structure • The screen menu OSD (On Screen Display) allows users to control or adjust various features and settings according to his/ her preferences. • Press the Menu/Set button on the remote control to see the main OSD menu. E.g.
PICTURE (TV and VIDEO) From the OSD menu, you can set brightness, contrast, colour, sharpness, temperature and restore the factory settings. 2. Press the MENU/SET button to activate the OSD. 3. Press the MENU/SET button again to see the main menu PICTURE. BRIGHTNESS Setting the screen brightness using the left and right arrow buttons. Dark Bright CONTRAST Setting the picture contrast. PICTURE (TV and VIDEO) SHARPNESS Adjust the sharpness of image edges. Less sharp Sharp TEMPERATURE Select the colour temperature of the screen between Warm, Cool and Normal. Warm Cold RECALL (Restoring factory settings) Call up the PICTURE menu and select the Recall function to restore the factory settings.
PICTURE (PC) The OSD menu is for setting brightness, contrast, temperature and geometry. 1. Press the MENU/SET button to activate the OSD. 2. Press the MENU/SET button again to see the main menu PICTURE. BRIGHTNESS Setting the screen brightness. CONTRAST Setting the picture contrast. TEMPERATURE Select the colour temperature of the screen between Warm, Cool and Normal. User-settings of the colour temperature You can select the values for red, green and blue components by using the buttons.
PICTURE (PC) GEOMETRY Press the MENU/SET button; a graphic as shown alongside appears. Now make your settings and move the slider in the desired direction. H-POSITION Centring the picture. On calling up the Position menu, you can move the picture by using the VOL -/+ buttons. V-POSITION Centring the picture. On calling up the Position menu, you can move the picture by using the VOL -/+ buttons. PHASE Fine-setting of the display accuracy on the screen. Possible only in the PC/HD Input mode.
SOUND (TV, VIDEO and PC) Setting the volume, balance, sound mode and AVC in the OSD menu. 1. Press the MENU/SET button to activate the OSD. 2. Use the DOWN button to select the SOUND main menu. 3. Press the MENU/SET button again to see the main menu SOUND. VOLUME Adjust the volume. Range between 0 and 100 BALANCE Adjust the balance between the left and right speaker outputs. SOUND MODE Choose the desired spatial effect. SOUND MODE - EQUALIZER You can adjust the sound quality according to your wishes.
OTHER SETTINGS (TV, VIDEO and PC) VIDEO SIZE (Aspect ratio) You can change the aspect ratio of a video in the MISC main menu and in VIDEO Size sub-menu or by pressing the V.SIZE button on the remote control. 16: 9 Filling up the screen irrespective of the incoming image aspect ratio. 4: 3 Filling up the screen with the same aspect ratio as the source signal. Letter Box Stretching the image to full screen size.
OTHER SETTINGS (TV, VIDEO and PC) Image scaling, OSD display. SETTING ID If you wish to control more than 2 PDPs through a PC, you can assign an ID between 1 and 99 to each PDP by cabling with an RS232C cable. ADVANCED You can set the burning-in protection here. BURN PROTECT The picture burn protection prevents a single picture from being displayed over a long period. To avoid displaying a static image over a long period, the image moves horizontally by 2-3 pixels over the screen every 2 minutes.
Time SLEEP: 30 min Î 60 min Î90 min Î180 min You can set your TV set to automatically turn off after a preset interval. You can select from 30 min, 60 min, 90 min, 180 min and "Off". The timer starts the countdown immediately on setting the interval. WAKE UP This TV set can be set to turn on automatically at a specific time that you choose. Before using the timer, you must set the current clock time. - Everyday: The PDP turns on at the same time every day.
TV SETTINGS AUTO SCAN If you select Auto SCAN, the TV set searches automatically for programmes and adds them to the programme list. When you want to exit this function, press the exit button on the remote control. TIPS In the European region, each country has its own transmission system. If you are in France or Monaco, please select the System LL; in other countries the system B/G D/K 1. Then search for a suitable channel using Auto Scan.
PIP (PC) Picture-in-Picture function PIP (Picture-in-Picture) ON/OFF You can activate/ deactivate the Picture-in-Picture function using ON/OFF. Select the ON/OFF function by using the VOL-/+ button. PIP SOURCE Select the PIP video source. On selecting the Video Source menu, you can change the source using the VOL-/+ button. (TV Î AV1 Î AV2 ÎSVIDEO Î COMPONENT) AUDIO SOURCE Selecting the audio source When you select the PIP mode, you also hear the PIP audio source.

Video text Teletext On / Mix / Off You can switch the video text function on or off by pressing the TTX button on the remote control. Top Text The user guide displays four fields - red, green, yellow and blue – at the bottom of the screen. The yellow field denotes the next group and the blue field denotes the next block. Block / Group / Page selection - With the blue button you can move from block to block. - Use the yellow button to proceed to the next group with automatic overflow to the next group.
