Watching videos (Scart type)
The image quality is considerably better compared to a normal video recorder connected to video input if you
connect an S-VIDEO video recorder to the S-VIDEO input socket.
If you use the Scart type, proceed with the cabling as described below.
Avoid fixed images over a long period. Such burnt-in images come mostly from video films in the 4:3 image format
or if programme information is being shown.
Audio (R) = Audio (R)
Audio (L) = Audio (L)
S-Video = S-Video
Scart Port = Scart-port 1 and 2
<To prevent image interference, leave sufficient space (more than 3 m) between the video recorder and the TV
set.>
Watching videos through the video recorder (if the interface card is
installed)
1. Press the TV/Video button on the remote control and select the video source. (For S-Video connection,
also select S Video as source).
2. Place a video cassette in the video recorder and press the PLAY key on the video recorder.
Warning
• No Signal
The message "No signal" will appear on the screen after about 5 minutes then the screen goes in the stand-by mode (dark).
This is not a malfunction.
