When using this product basic precautions should be followed
to reducethe risk of fire, electric shock and injury.

• Use this product only as described in this manual.
• Operate this product on 120 V AC, 60HZ only.
• To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use this fan with any
solid-state speed control device.
• Do not operate without cover in place.
• Do not defeat the interlock switch.

• Do not operate this product if there is any physical damage to the unit.
• This product is for indoor use only.
• Do not operate this product in any area where there is a risk of the unit
falling into or being exposed to water.
• Opening windows or doors while operating this device may affect
performance.
• Always unplug the unit before servicing.
• Close supervision is necessary when operated near children and pets.
• Do not handle the unit or plug with wet hands.
• Keep the product away from heated surfaces.
• Do not put any object into the openings or block the airflow to the unit.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
1. Plug the unit into a 120V AC electrical outlet.
2. For best results continuous operation is recommended.
USE OF THE PLUGGABLE
When the Pluggable is turned on you will see a ring of blue light that
lets you know it is working.
NOTE: THE PLUGGABLE UNIT CONTAINS NO SERVICEABLE
PARTS EXCEPT ITS UV-C BULB. THE BULB MAY BE REMOVED
FOR REPLACEMENT.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
PROBLEM
Unit doesn’t operate.
Light flickers.
Fan runs but no light.

WHEN TO CHANGE THE BULB
A replaceable 3.5 watt UV-C light bulb will last over 5000 hours. Over time with use
the UV-C bulb will lose some intensity approximately 15% at 4000 hours. Therefore
it is suggested to replace the UV-C light bulb every 6 months depending on use.
You will know to change the bulb when the light flickers continuously or changes
color.

1. Unplug the unit from
the electrical outlet.

2. Using a small Phillips
head screwdriver,
loosen and remove the
Phillips screw located
at the top backside of
the unit.
3. Remove the top cap by
lifting it off of the top
of the unit.
4. Hold the unit in place
with one hand. Locate
the bulb and reach into
the cylinder.
5. With your opposite
hand. Turn the bulb in
a counter clockwise
position (left) to loosen
from the socket.
6. Take new bulb and
screw into unit using a
clockwise motion.
7. Reassemble by
reversing steps 1-6.
WARNING
ULTRAVIOLET-C LIGHT IS EMITTED FROM THE BULB WHEN THE UNIT IS ELECTRIFIED, EYE INJURY OR IRRITATION COULD RESULT,
UNPLUG THE UNIT WHEN SERVICING THE BULB TO AVOID OVER EXPOSURE OF EYES AND SKIN TO THE ULTRAVIOLET-C LIGHT.
Discard the used bulb by following the recommended disposal procedure for a used fluorescent bulb. The bulb should only be used in the Germ Guardian GG1100 and
all instructions for use must be followed.
WARNING
MISAPPLYING OR MISUSING THE UV-C BULB COULD CAUSE INJURY TO THE EYES OR SKIN. NEVER USE THE BULB WITHOUT
INSTALLING IT IN THE UNIT AS INSTRUCTED. NEVER OPERATE THE UNIT WITHOUT THE TOP CAP IN PLACE.
This product can be serviced or maintained only by changing the UV-C bulb. The unit contains no serviceable parts. All parts, except the UV-C bulb, are warranted for
1 year from date of purchase. See the Limited Warranty. Use of any bulb other than the appropriate Guardian Technologies pluggable bulb will void the warranty.
You may purchase bulbs directly from Guardian Technologies, or we can provide the names of retailers who stock our products in your area. Please call 866-603-5900
for more information. The health aspects associated with this product and its ability to aid in the disinfection of environmental air have not been investigated by CSA.
The purchase of the Germ Guardian device does not prevent illness.
IMPORTANT
The UV-C bulb is specifically excluded from this warranty. Use only a Guardian Technologies replacement bulb.The air sanitizer contains no serviceable parts. Due to the unique technol-
ogy of the product, all repairs must be performed by Guardian Technologies authorized service centers. Any unauthorized repair or tampering with the product VOIDS this warranty. This
warranty does not cover misuse or abuse.
LIMITED WARRANTY
To the consumer, Guardian Technologies LLC warrants this product to be free of defects in materials or workmanship commencing upon the date of the original purchase. In order to be
eligible for this Limited Warranty, an original sales receipt or comparable substitute proof of purchase bearing the date of original purchase is required. Refer to the original product carton
or specific product/model page on the Guardian Technologies website for warranty length for your particular model. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of this product from
the original date of purchase. This warranty covers product purchased from authorized distributors only.
This warranty applies to repair or replacement of product found to be defective in materials or workmanship. This warranty does not apply to damage resulting from unusual wear,
commercial, abusive, unreasonable use or supplemental damage. This warranty does not cover damage from unauthorized repairs or from any use not in accordance with the
instruction manual. Defects that are the result of normal wear and tear will not be considered manufacturing defects under this warranty.
If this product should become defective within the warranty period, we will repair or replace any defective parts free of charge. All warranty repairs must be completed by Guardian
Technologies LLC. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights (other rights may vary from state to state in the U.S.A.)
To submit product under warranty the complete machine must be delivered pre-paid to Guardian Technologies LLC. Please include complete information including: the problem, the model
number of the product, the day of purchase, and a copy of the original sales receipt along with your name, address, and telephone (email optional). Address returns to the attention of:

REMPLACEMENT DE L’AMPOULE
L’ampoule UVC remplaçable de 3,5 watts a une durée de vie de plus de
5 000 heures. Après un certain temps d’utilisation, l’ampoule UVC perd de son in-
tensité, soit environ 15 % après 4 000 heures d’utilisation. Nous vous conseillons
donc de remplacer l’ampoule UVC tous les 6 mois, selon
l’utilisation de l’appareil. Vous saurez qu’il est temps de changer l’ampoule lorsque
sa lumière vacillera de façon continue ou changera de couleur.

The 8 hour TWA Ozone for this product is 0.001 ppmv when tested in a 30 m3 chamber. The product complies with the maximum allowable concentration of ozone of 0.050 parts per mil-
lion by volume (ppmv) in a 24-hour period. The Health Canada Guideline 2010 recommends that the maximum exposure limit, based on averaging time of 8 hours, is 0.020 ppmv or less
when tested in a sealed, controlled room approximately 30 m
