Instructions / Assembly

USE:
1. Remove protective film from solar panel.
2. Select a location with direct sunlight, where Solar Lawn Light can receive at least 8 hours of sunlight each day. Shaded locations will not allow the battery to charge fully and will reduce the time of nighttime lighting.
3. Push the switch to ON: Solar Lawn Light will activate at night and turn off in daytime automatically.
4. Push the switch to OFF: Turn light off when not in use to save battery life.
TO REPLACE BATTERIES:
1. Remove screws from battery compartment lid.
2. Remove battery compartment lid.
3. Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation.
4. Replace the AA-Ni-MH rechargeable battery.
5. Be sure to insert the battery in the proper direction as shown.
6. Return battery compartment lid with screw to its original position.
If the Solar Lawn Light does not turn on at night, it may be caused by one of the following conditions:
1. Switch is in the OFF Position.
2. Battery is not fully charged.
• Make sure the Solar Lawn Light is located in an area where the solar panel gets the maximum amount of direct sunlight every day.
• If the weather is cloudy or overcast during the day, the battery will not be charged fully to operate properly at night.
• The Solar Lawn Light must receive direct sunlight everyday to fully charge the battery.
If the Solar Lawn Light does not receive enough sunlight during the day, it will be charged in the next sunny day and resume normal operation.
3. Other light source.
• If the Solar Lawn Light is located too close to any bright light it will turn off automatically. Relocate the Solar Lawn Light to an area where there are no bright lights.
CARE: Prevent battery compartment from being submerged in water.
DO NOT expose batteries to fire or water. DO NOT use different sizes of batteries, or install batteries backwards. Never touch damaged or leaking batteries - this could result in burn injuries or cause serious internal
injuries if swallowed. Obtain medical attention immediately if this occurs. Misuse can cause battery to overheat, rupture, leak, or explode, resulting in personal injury and/or property damage.
BATTERY WARNING:
• Do not use alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) batteries.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
• Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision (if removable).
