Range (path way light) approx. 8 m for diagonal movements/
0.5 m for head-on movements
Time setting approx. 5 seconds to 8 minutes - continuously variable
Twilight switch approx. 10 to 1,000 lux - continuously variable
Protection type IP 44
Protection class I
Recommended installation height
wall lights 021709/021723 approx. 1.8 m
Installation
Install the LED light 021709/021723 according to
Fig. A1 – A5.
Install the LED path way light 021716 according to
Fig. B1 - B5.
Connect the mains connection cable as shown in
the wiring diagram (Fig. C).
The protective earth (PE) must be
connected.
Activation
If the LED light is switched on via a separate
switch, turn this on. A self-test is then initiated
lasting approx. 30 seconds. The LED light and blue
status LED in the motion detector will remain on
during this time. After the self-test, the LED light
willswitchoforapprox.5seconds,regardlessof
motion. The light will then be ready for use.
Once the self-test is complete, you can carry out
further settings.
Settings (Fig. D)
Turn the protective cap 180°, see Fig. D1.
LUX adjusts the twilight switch to between
approx. 10 and 1,000 lux
TIME sets the ON period of approx. 5 seconds –
8 minutes after the last movement is
detected.
Recycling instructions
This device may not be disposed of with
unsorted household waste. Owners of old
devices are required by law to dispose of
this device correctly. Contact your town
council for further information.
By purchasing this item, you have chosen a
high-quality GEV product. Please read these
operating instructions carefully to ensure
correct operation. Keep these instructions in a
safe place so that you can refer back to them
if necessary.
Operation
The LED light with motion detector has in-built,
non-replaceable LED lamps. The motion detector
functions using passive infrared technology (PIR). If
the motion detector’s PIR sensor detects a moving
heat source in its detection range, it automatically
switches the LED light on. Static heat sources
do not switch on the LED light. The adjustable
twilight switch can be set to ensure that the
motion detector will operate either during the day
and night or only when it is dark. When movement
is detected, the motion detector switches on the
LEDlightandthenswitchesitoagainbetween
approx. 5 seconds and approx. 8 minutes after
the last movement is detected, depending on the
setting.
The 021723 LED light also has a twilight-
dependent, upward-pointing LED for accent
lighting
Safety instructions
This device must be installed by a
technician, in accordance with the
applicable regulations. The electrical
power supply and the circuit protection
mustbeswitchedoduringtheentireinstallation
process. Please check that the connection
cable is disconnected!
Under no circumstances does the warranty cover
damage resulting from failure to observe these
instructions. Nor do we accept liability for any
indirect damage.
Similarly, we can accept no liability for any material
damage or bodily injury caused by mishandling
or failure to observe the safety instructions. No
warranty claim may be made in these cases.
In addition, for safety and compliance reasons,
you are not authorised to dismantle or alter the
device in any way.
Mounting position
Motion detection is maximised when moving at
an angle to the motion detector. Therefore, the
motion detector should always be installed in a
position that ensures that objects/people do not
move directly towards the device.
