Safety Data Sheet
Glitter Topcoat
Version: 1, Revision: 2, Date of issue: May 10, 2021, p. 4 of 10
6.2 Environmental precautions
Prevent from entering into soil, ditches, sewers, waterways and/or groundwater. Inform appropriate managerial or
supervisory personnel of all environmental releases. Prevent further leakage if safe to do so. See Section 12,
Ecological Information.
6.3 Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up
Contain spilled material if possible.
Small spills: Absorb with materials such as sand and vermiculite. Collect in suitable and properly labeled containers.
Wash the spill site with large quantities of water.
Large spills: Dike area and contain spill. Pump into suitable and properly labeled containers. See Section13,
Disposal Considerations, for additional information.
SECTION 7: Handling and storage
7.1 Precautions for safe handling
Spills of these organic materials on hot fibrous insulations may lead to lowering of the autoignition temperatures
possibly resulting in spontaneous combustion. Keep away from heat, sparks and flame. Containers, even those that
have been emptied, can contain vapors. Do not cut, drill, grind, weld, or perform similar operations on or near empty
containers. Use with adequate ventilation. Keep container closed. Wear personal protective equipment. Do not
breath gas/fumes/vapor/spray. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing. Do not taste or swallow. Avoid prolonged
exposure. When using, do not eat, drink or smoke. Avoid release into the environment. See Section 8, Exposure
Controls and Personal Protection.
7.2 Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Store in accordance with local regulations. Store in original container. Store away from direct sunlight or ultraviolet
light. Keep container tightly closed when not in use. Protect from atmospheric moisture. Store in the following
material(s): Carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, container lined with phenolic or epoxy-phenolic FDA food
contact approved coating. 316 stainless steel, or opaque HDPE plastic container. Keep container tightly closed and
sealed until ready for use. Containers that have been opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent
leakage. Do not store in unlabelled containers. Use appropriate containment to avoid environmental contamination.

8.2 Appropriate engineering controls
Use local exhaust ventilation, or other engineering controls to maintain airborne levels below exposure limit
requirements or guidelines. If there are no applicable exposure limit requirement or guidelines, general ventilation
should be sufficient for most operations. Local exhaust ventilation may be necessary for some operations.
8.3 Individual protection measures, such as personal protective equipment (PPE)
