These installation guidelines are for use with typical or standard applications. It is always recommended to

BASIC INSTALLATION GUIDELINES
VINYL CORNER BEAD
STAPLE ATTACHMENT
For regular (not bullnose) archway corner beads, drywall does
not need to be set back
For doors, windows or special lengths, cut the bead to length
and dry t
a. Prevent overlap of the mud anges by snipping back
b. Dry t the bead
With 1/2” crown staples staple the solid mud ange every 6-10”
and each ange segment on the notched mud ange.
No primer is needed. Finish as usual.
For cold weather winter applications, please refer to the
installation recommendations in the Gypsum Association
GA-220-2020.
Archway Cornerbead is slotted (kerfed) to t smoothly around a
curved surface.
SPRAY ADHESIVE
For regular (not bullnose) archway corner beads, drywall does
not need to be set back.
For doors, windows or special lengths, cut the bead to length
and dry t.
a. Prevent overlap of the mud anges by snipping back.
b. Dry t the bead.
Put a coat of spray adhesive on the back of the bead and
then on the drywall per [the spray adhesive] manufactures
instructions.
The rate at which the adhesive dries varies depending on heat
and humidity. Test in your conditions.
Use handle of your taping knife or installation tool to apply
pressure along both mud anges. Bond strength is greatly
enhanced with this crucial step.
No primer is needed. Finish as usual.

“L” Trim is used where drywall abuts suspended ceilings,
beams, plaster, masonry and concrete walls.
J” Trim is used to nish rough drywall panel ends at window
and door openings.
