Warranty

This Painted Metal Roof Panel is warranted against:
A. Chip, Crack, Check or Peel for a period of (40) forty years from the date of installation, excluding crazing that may
occur in tightly roll formed edges and brake bends. Industrial environments are reduced to a period of (7) seven
years and Severe Marine environments (less than 1 mile but more than 1000 feet from the coast) a period of (20)
twenty years.
B. Chalk in excess of a numerical rating of (8) eight on siding applications and (6) six on roofing applications, for a
period of (30) thirty years from date of installation. ASTM D659. Industrial environments are reduced to a period of
(20) twenty years and Severe Marine environments (less than 1 mile but more than 1000 feet from the coast) a
period of (20) twenty years.
C. Fade or color change in excess of (5) five E Units on siding applications and (7) seven E Units on roofing applica-
tions or a period of (30) thirty years from date of installation. ASTM D-2244. Color change is evaluated on exposed
painted surfaces cleaned of soil and oxidation. Industrial environments are reduced to a period of (20) twenty years
and Severe Marine environments (less than 1 mile but more than 1000 feet from the coast) a period of (20) twenty
years.
Limitations:
This warranty applies only to product used in the Continental United States, Alaska, Canada, and Mexico (Hawaii
and the Caribbean excluded)
This warranty is restricted to failures resulting from normal weathering and does not include coating failures caused
by scratches, scrapes or any other unnatural damage including: improperly formed, fabricated or embossed
material.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by acts of God, radiation, falling objects, explosions, or other external
forces beyond Gibraltar’s control.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by standing water or direct exposure to corrosive atmospheres.
Applications exposed to salt spray or within 1 mile of the seacoast, must be maintained by washing with fresh water
at least twice a year. Applications under 1000 feet from the coast have no warranty.
This warranty extends only to the direct cost of refinishing or replacing a failed coated substrate. Gibraltar can not
be held responsible for loss or damage to other property or equipment, loss of profits or sales, or any other claims
relative to standard business interruption, or any other incidental damages.
Gibraltar reserves the right to establish whether repainting or replacing material is required. After remedy, the
repaired area will be considered installed as of the original installation date.
Warranty claims must be submitted in writing within (45) forty-five days of coating failure discovery. Gibraltar
reserves the right to solely evaluate and determine its obligation under the terms and conditions of this limited
warranty.
This limited warranty is non-transferable and non-assignable and may not be modified, extended, or enlarged by
any representative of Gibraltar Building Products, intermediate salespeople or agents.
