WHEN INSTALLING THIS EXHAUST SYSTEM, MAKE SURE TO USE THE PROPER SAFETY
PRECAUTIONS. USE JACK STAND WHEN UNDER TRUCK, SET PARKING BRAKE, BLOCK TIRES,
AND USE SAFETY GLASSES AND GLOVES. DO NOT WORK WITH HOT PIPES!
SUGGESTED TOOLS:
13mm, 15mm SOCKET, 9/16” SOCKET, ½” SOCKET, ½” WRENCH, HACKSAW, JACKSTAND
LAY OUT THE EXHAUST AND COMPARE THE PART NUMBER WITH THE DRAWING
TO REMOVE YOUR STOCK
EXHAUST, UNBOLT AND REMOVE
IT FROM THE SECOND CLAMP
LOCATED JUST IN FRONT OF THE
MUFFLER. FOR EASIER REMOVAL
OF THE FACTORY EXHAUST, CUT
OFF THE STOCK TAILPIPE JUST
BEHIND THE MUFFLER AND
REMOVE. LEAVE ALL RUBBER
GROMMETS ON THE HANGERS. USE
WD-40 TO AID IN REMOVAL OF
EXHAUST AND HANGERS.
INSTALL HEADPIPE # A ONTO
FACTORY PIPE. LINE UP THE
NOTCH. USE CLAMP # G TO
SECURE HEADPIPE TO FACTORY
PIPE. DO NOT TIGHTEN. INSERT
WELDED HANGER INTO RUBBER
GROMMET.
INSTALL DRIVER SIDE
OVER AXLE TAILPIPE # D
INTO MUFFLER 1½ TO 2”.
INSERT WELDED HANGER
INTO RUBBER GROMMET,
USE CLAMP # G TO
SECURE PIPE TO
MUFFLER. THIS PIPE WILL
GO INTO THE DRIVERS
SIDE OUTLET. DO NOT
TIGHTEN
NEXT INSTALL DRIVERS OVER
AXLE PIPE # D INTO MUFFLER
1½ TO 2”.USE CLAMP # F TO
SECURE PIPE TO MUFFLER. DO
NOT TIGHTEN. USE BOLT KIT # H
TO SECURE PIPES TOGETHER.
DRIVERSIDE TAB WILL BE ON
THE BOTTOM.
INSTALL YOUR STAINLESS
TIPS. TIGHTEN ALL CLAMPS
STARTING FROM THE FRONT,
WORKING YOUR WAY TO THE
BACK OF THE TRUCK. TO
CLEAN TIPS USE A
STAINLESS STEEL CLEANER..
GIBSON EXHAUST systems are designed on a factory stock vehicle. Any aftermarket products installed could increase
the sound levels of this Exhaust. Make sure there is a 1” clearance from ALL rubber brake lines, shock boots, fuel lines,
tires, etc to prevent heat related damage .
SLIP MUFFLER #B ONTO THE
HEADPIPE 1 ½” TO 2”. THE
OUTLETS WILL BE LEVEL. USE
CLAMP #G TO SECURE MUFFLER
TO HEADPIPE. DO NOT TIGHTEN.
