9) GSATA3_6/7 (SATA 6Gb/s Connectors, Controlled by Marvell 88SE9182 Chip)
The SATA connectors conform to SATA 6Gb/s standard and are compatible with SATA 3Gb/s and SATA
1.5Gb/s standard. Each SATA connector supports a single SATA device. The Marvell 88SE9182 chip
supportsRAID0andRAID1.RefertoChapter5,"ConguringSATAHardDrive(s),"forinstructionson
conguringaRAIDarray.
• A RAID 0 or RAID 1 congurationrequiresatleasttwoharddrives. Ifmore than two hard
drives are to be used, the total number of hard drives must be an even number.
• ARAID5congurationrequiresatleastthreeharddrives.(Thetotalnumberofhard drives
does not have to be an even number.)
• ARAID10congurationrequiresfourharddrives.
8) SATA2_0/1/2/3/4/5 (SATA 3Gb/s Connectors, Controlled by Intel ICH10R South Bridge)
The SATA connectors conform to SATA 3Gb/s standard and are compatible with SATA 1.5Gb/s standard.
Each SATA connector supports a single SATA device. The Intel ICH10R South Bridge supports RAID 0,
RAID1,RAID5,andRAID10.RefertoChapter5,"ConguringSATAHardDrive(s),"forinstructionson
conguringaRAIDarray.
Please connect the L-shaped end of
the SATA cable to your SATA hard
drive.
