For 1.3M-pixel camera, there is an active indicator which will be ON when the camera working.
BEFORE YOU START Display Panel The display panel is a color LCD panel with LED back lighting for the display of text and graphics. Keyboard Stereo Speakers The built-in dual speakers allow for stereo sound. TouchPad/Buttons ress the left and right buttons located on the edge of the touch pad to do selection and execution P functions. These two buttons are similar to the left and right buttons on a mouse. ENGLISH The built-in Qwerty keyboard with dedicated Windows® and function keys.
Buttons/Status Indicators ENGLISH he Status indicator lights correspond to specific operating mode. These modes are: Power T On/Suspend status, Battery status, Hard Disk Drive (HDD) Activity, WiFi Activity, Bluetooth Activity, 3.5G or WiMax Active, Caps Lock and Num Lock. Indicator lights are embedded in the touch type button bar – Suspend/Resume/Power On, WiFi, Bluetooth and 3.5G or WiMax. Battery/HDD/Caps Lock/Num Lock WiFi Bluetooth 3.

BEFORE YOU START RIGHT SIDE OVERVIEW he following is a brief description of the right side of the Myou S1024 Computer. There is no any I/O T port at this side. The following is an overview of the rear side of the Myou S1024 Computer. Power Adapter Jack USB Ports 11 Expansion Port USB Ports he USB ports allow you to connect Universal Serial Bus devices. They support v2.0 of the USB T standard, which allows data transfer rates as high as 480 Mb/s.

BEFORE YOU START LAN (RJ-45) Port at side direction The LAN port is designed to support a 10/100 Base-TX standard RJ-45 plug. ENGLISH 13 External Monitor Port at rear side The external monitor port allows you to connect an external monitor.
Install & Remove the Expansion Port hen install or remove the Expansion Port to or from the Myou S1024 Computer, please hold the W left & right side of the Expansion Port first. ENGLISH or installing, please make sure these two ports on Expansion Port rear side are right toward to F Myou S1024 Computer ports then push Expansion Port forward to make sure the well connection. To remove, just pull out the Expansion Port from Myou S1024 Computer.
BEFORE YOU START BOTTOM OVERVIEW The following is an overview of the bottom of the Myou S1024 Computer. T Do not block or place the computer in such a position that you inadvertently allow the outlets to become blocked.
SIM Card Slot ENGLISH 16 Note: 1. Please remove the battery first before insert the SIM card. Follow the instruction icon to insert the SIM card then install the battery back. 2. To insert of a mobile SIM card for 3.5G function (Optional) Rating Label The label shows the model number and other information about your Myou S1024 Computer. Battery Bay he battery bay contains the internal Lithium-Ion battery.
GETTING STARTED GETTING STARTED Power Sources CONNNECTING THE POWER ADAPTERS The AC adapter provides power for operating your Myou S1024 Small Notebook PC and charging the battery. Connecting the AC Adapter 1. Plug the DC output cable into the DC power jack of your Myou S1024 Small Notebook PC. 2. Plug the AC adapter into an AC electrical outlet. Switching from AC Adapter Power to Battery Power 1. Be sure that you have at least one charged battery installed. 2. Remove the AC adapter.
RECHARGING THE BATTERY he Lithium-Ion battery is recharged internally using the AC adapter. To recharge the battery, T make sure the battery is installed and the computer is connected to the AC. ENGLISH 18 here is no “memory effect” in Lithium-Ion batteries; therefore you do not need to discharge the T battery completely before recharging. The charge times will be significantly longer if your notebook PC is in use while the battery is charging.
GETTING STARTED have lost the data that was not saved. Once you provide power, you can continue to use your computer while an adapter charges the battery. Suspend/Resume/Power On Button The suspend/resume/power on switch is used to turn on your Myou S1024 Computer from its off state. Once you have connected your AC adapter or charged the internal Lithium-Ion battery, you can power on your Myou S1024 Computer by pressing the suspend/resume/on button located above the keyboard.
Monitoring Battery Power ENGLISH 20 There are two ways to monitor how much power the battery has left. 1. Click start/Control Panel/Power Options; then click Power Meter. 2. Moving the cursor to the battery icon on the taskbar is the simplest way to check on battery power status. If you do not see the battery icon, enable it in Start /Control Panel/Power Options. Choose the Advanced tab and click “Always show icon on the taskbar.
Monitoring Battery Power AC power adapter. Save your work, turn off the computer and replace the discharged battery with a charged battery. Do not restart the computer until you have connected to an AC adapter, or replaced the discharged battery with a charged battery. When you use the AC adapter to connect your Myou S1024 Computer to a power outlet, the internal battery will automatically begin to recharge. While the battery is charging, the Battery Charge icon on the Indicator panel will be active.
Initiating Suspend Mode There are several ways to initiate suspend mode. The settings can be adjusted in the Power Management dialog box: ENGLISH 22 The computer will automatically enter suspend mode when not used for a set period of time. Selecting the Stand by button in the Shut Down Windows dialog box. Closing the screen cover (assuming no external monitor has been connected). Pressing the power button (if enabled in power settings).
Monitoring Battery Power When to Replace the Battery Over time, the battery’s capacity gradually decreases. We recommend that you replace your battery when you notice that it begins to store significantly less charge. Change the main battery pack as follows: 1. Turn off the computer. 2. Close the screen cover and turn the computer over. 3. Slide the side battery latch (1) to the left and latch (2) up. Continue to hold it until the battery is removed. 4.
Starting Your Myou S1024 Computer POWER ON ENGLISH 24 Suspend/Resume/Power On Button The suspend/resume/power on switch is used to turn on your Myou S1024 Computer from its off state. Once you have connected your AC adapter or charged the internal Lithium-Ion battery, you can power on your Myou S1024 Computer by pressing the suspend/resume/on button located above the keyboard. If you need to take an extended break, press the button again to turn it off.
GETTING STARTED When you power on your Myou S1024 Computer, it will perform a Power On Self Test (POST) to check the internal parts and configuration for correct functionality. If a fault is found, your computer emits an audio warning and/or displays an error message. Never turn off your Myou S1024 Computer during the Power On Self Test (POST), or an un-recoverable error may occur.
Status Indicators ENGLISH The Status indicator lights correspond to specific operating modes. These modes are: AC Adapter Status, Battery status; Hard Disk Drive Activity; Memory Card Reader Activity; and Wireless LAN/ Bluetooth Activity. Furthermore, at the top of the keyboard there are three additional status indicator lights: Caps Lock, Scroll Lock, and Num Lock.
GETTING STARTED Caps Lock Indicator This indicator tells you that the keyboard is set to type in all capital letters. Num Lock Indicator This indicator states that the internal keyboard is set in ten-key numeric keypad mode. This light on the power button illuminates when the computer is powered on. Suspend Status Indicator This light on the power button flashes while the computer is in Suspend mode.
Battery Indicator ENGLISH 28 The dual color battery indicator tells you the battery is charging or already fully charged. If charging the battery, the indicator is remains Green even if your Myou S1024 Computer is off. If the battery fully charged, the indicator is remains Orange no matter the system is On or Off. The indicator will Off if Power Adapter is not plug-in.
GETTING STARTED Using Function Keys Your computer has 12 function keys, F1 through F12. The functions assigned to these keys differ for each application. You should refer to your software documentation to find out how these keys are used. [FN+F4]: Places the Thin Note in Sleep mode. Pressing the Power button returns it to active mode. [FN+F5]: Allows you to change your selection of where to send your display video. Each time you press the combination of keys you will step to the next choice.
Using the TouchPad A TouchPad pointing device comes built into your computer. It is used to control the movement of the pointer to select items on your display panel. ENGLISH 30 The TouchPad consists of a cursor control, a left and right button, and two scroll buttons. The cursor control works the same way a mouse does, and moves the cursor around the display. It only requires light pressure from the tip of your finger. The left and right buttons function the same as mouse buttons.
GETTING STARTED Clicking Double-Clicking Double-clicking means pushing and releasing the left button twice in rapid succession. This procedure does not function with the right button. To double-click, move the cursor to the item you wish to select, press the left button twice, and then immediately release it. You also have the option to perform the double-click operation by tapping lightly on the TouchPad twice. Dragging Dragging means pressing and holding the left button, while moving the cursor.
TROUBLESHOOTING ENGLISH 32 Your Myou S1024 Small Notebook PC is sturdy and subject to few problems in the field. However, you may encounter simple setup or operating problems that you can solve on the spot, or problems with peripheral devices, that you can solve by replacing the device. The information in this section helps you isolate and resolve some of these straightforward problems and identify failures that require service.

BIOS SETTING ENGLISH 34 The BIOS Setup Utility is a hardware configuration program built into your Myou S1024 Computer’s BIOS (basic input/output system). Your Myou S1024 Computer is already properly configured and optimized, and you do not need to run this utility. However, if you encounter configuration problems, you may need to run it.
BIOS SETTING Starting the BIOS Setup Utility You can only enter the BIOS setup utility as the computer is booting, that is between the time you turn on the computer and before the Windows interface appears. If your computer is already on, shut down your computer completely (power off) and restart it and then press the F2 key to enter the setup utility.
Menu ENGLISH 36 Description Main The Main screen displays a summary of your Myou S1024 Computer hardware information, and also includes basic setup parameters. Advanced This screen contains parameters involving your hardware devices. Security The Security screen contains parameters that help safeguard and protect your Myou S1024 Computer from unauthorized use. Boot To set the order of booting equipments, enabling or disabling equipments. Exit To exit the interface of setting system.
BIOS SETTING The Main Menu ENGLISH 37 Tips: For more information about Menu and Keys, please refer to the help information of respective selection. There may be difference of BIOS setting between different versions of BIOS of different batch of Myou S1024 Computer produced. Notice: The BIOS of your Myou S1024 Computer has been initialized to best settings. It’s advised you not to change it if not so necessary.
System Time Allows you to change the system time using the hour:minute:second format of your Myou S1024 Computer. Enter the current time for reach field and use the -, + key to move from one field or back to another. You can also change the system time from your operating system. ENGLISH 38 System Date Allows you to set the system date using the month/date/year format. Enter the current time for reach field and use the -, +key to move from one field or back to another.

Security Menu ENGLISH 40 Set Supervisor Password A supervisor password must be set before a lower-level user password can be set. After selecting Change Supervisor Password, press Enter. You will be prompted for the new password, and then again to verify it. Type in 6 or fewer keystrokes. If you make an error, press Esc to start over.

Cleaning & Maintenance Cleaning & Maintenance Taking Care of Your Myou S1024 Computer ENGLISH The openings on the enclosure are for air convection hence your Myou S1024 Computer can be protected from overheating. DO NOT COVER THE OPENINGS. Do not expose your Myou S1024 Computer to direct sunlight. Do not place it near sources of heat, such as a radiator. Do not expose your Myou S1024 Computer to temperatures below 5ºC (41ºF) or above 40ºC (104ºF).
Taking Care of Your AC Adapter ENGLISH 44 Here are some ways to take care of your AC adapter: Do not connect the adapter to any other device. Do not step on the power cord or place heavy objects on top of it. Carefully route the power cord and any cables away from all potential traffic. When unplugging the power cord, do not pull on the cord itself but pull on the plug. The total ampere ratings of the equipment plugged in should not exceed the ampere rating of the cord if you are using an extension cord.
Cleaning & Maintenance Do not leave your battery in your Myou S1024 Computer for longer than 1 month without plugging in the power adapter. Do not leave battery in storage for more than 2 months without recharging it to prevent over discharge. Over discharge will hurt the battery either. Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations. Recycle if at all possible. When cleaning your Myou S1024 Computer, follow these steps: 1. Power off your Myou S1024 Computer and remove the battery pack. 2.
Maintaining Your Hard Disk Losing your data has the same consequences as a system break down. Users must make it a habit of doing hard disk maintenance every week or so. Here is some maintenance you could do: ENGLISH 46 Always backup your data files from your hard disk. Install the virus detecting program to monitor virus that could tamper your files. Use SCANDISK once in a while to correct any errors found in the directory and File Allocation Table. This will also free up space from any unused sectors.
Cleaning & Maintenance When You Travel For safety and convenience when traveling, please follow these instructions: Contact your dealer or see your service technician if any of the following occurs: Your Myou S1024 Computer has been dropped or the body has been damaged. Liquid has been spilled into the product. Your Myou S1024 Computer does not operate normally ENGLISH Backup all needed files on your hard disk before traveling.

Right after you see the startup screen (such as trademark, logo or text), the DOS screen will appear. Press F9. F9 is a typical hotkey to restore professional settings. We recommend you to select “YES” to restore an image file.* “Image file” is a compressed file that compresses all the Windows operation system data.
