Configuring settings for the local network

Searching for a network
The phone searches for wireless networks within range. You select the network that you want
to connect the device to. Alternatively, you can enter the name of the required WLAN manu-
ally.
Searching for wireless networks
Scan survey:
Your device searches for wireless networks
within range.
§§Edit§§ Press the display key to start the
scan survey.
While the scan is running, the display flashes
WLAN Scan Survey.
If the search is unsuccessful, the Local Net-
work screen is displayed.
Enter the network manually or repeat the
search at a later date.
If the search was successful, the wireless net-
works are displayed with their network name
(SSID) and the following icons:
˝ The WLAN is encrypted.
« Signal strength of this WLAN connec-
tion.
Selecting a WLAN:
q Select the required WLAN.
§§OK§§ Press the display key to confirm the
selection.
