On the handset
Once registration is complete, the handset returns to idle status. The internal number of the
handset appears in the display, e. g. INT 1.
A handset can be registered to up to four base stations.

for Gigaset bases: 0000)

0000) OK
Change of base:
Select Base OK select base or Best Base Select
( = selected)
Best Base: The handset chooses the base station with the best
reception as soon as it loses connection to the current base station.
De-registering the handset (depending on the base):

select another handset if required OK enter system PIN if

If the handset is still registered to other bases, it switches to the
base with the best reception (Best Base).
Some Gigaset bases and bases/routers from third party manufacturers might not be
fully compatible with the handset and not all functions are displayed correctly. In
such cases, use menu entry Basic Registration. This guarantees correct displays on
the handset, but can entail restrictions for some functions.
