SMS (text messages)
You can send and receive text messages (SMS).

Writing and sending an SMS

Adding a number or name from the contact list to the SMS text

Select the contact
¤ OK . . . The name or phone number of the selected
contact is added to the SMS
Stop writing an SMS
If you want to discard the text entered:
¤ Options ¤ Cancel
An SMS may be up to 612 characters in length. If the number of char-
acters exceeds 160, the SMS is sent as linked SMS messages (up to
four individual SMS messages).
The remaining number of characters is shown in the top right of the
display, followed by an indication in brackets of which part of a
linked SMS is currently being written.
