Permitting messages, events and reminders
Tap SMS, MMS, and messaging apps Specify the events to be permitted
Smartphone functions for which "Do not disturb" are not to apply
Here for example you can exclude the alarm clock from the "Do not disturb" function.
Tap See all exceptions Enable tone and vibration for the functions required
( = enabled, i.e. "Do not disturb" does not apply for this function)
Tap Notifications Select the setting; follow the explanations and instructions
on the display
Rules for notifications
It is possible to set more detailed settings for how notifications are handled when
"Do not disturb" is enabled.
Tap Restrict notifications Select the setting; follow the explanations and instructions
on the display
Setting a schedule
Specify how long the "Do not disturb" function is to stay enabled:
Tap Default duration Select the setting required
Specifying rules for automatic enabling:
Tap Schedules . . . predefined rules Sleeping and Event are shown change the predefined
rules or add your own rules Enable a rule with Use schedule
Enabling rules
Tap TURN ON NOW . . . the "Do not disturb" function is enabled with all of the rules defined
Protection of minors
With the settings for protecting minors, you can define rules for when your children use the
smartphone. For this, the Family Link app must be installed on your smartphone as well as that
of the child. With Family Link, you can set up rules that ensure exposure to digital media is age-
appropriate, such as
• Keeping an eye on a child’s activities
• Managing a child's apps
• Approving downloads and purchases, and hiding age-inappropriate content in the Google
Play Store
• Installing apps recommended by teachers
• Setting time limits and blocking the device from your smartphone
• Ascertaining the location of your child
