Sharing WLAN access
Sharing your WLAN access with friends is quick.
 Settings Network & internet WLAN Tap the WLAN you want to share
Share Confirm your identity with a fingerprint or use the current method for screen
unlocking . . . The password is shown as text and a QR code
You can provide friends with this code so they can tak

WLAN.
Viewing WLAN details
 Settings Network & internet WLAN Tap the network name of a connected
WLAN . . . Information on the connection is displayed, such as signal strength, connection
status and transmission rate
Changing the network settings: Tap
Connection configuration
Align the network settings to the requirements of the WLAN to be used to establish a
connection.

Tap the down arrow next to Advanced options . . .
Metered networks
If your network has a data limit, you can define the WLAN as metered. You then have better
control over data usage when downloading and using other apps.
 Under Metered, select option Mark as "chargeable" Save
Proxy
If a connection to a WLAN is established over a proxy:
Manually entering the proxy details:
 Under Proxy, select option Manual Enter the data Save
Automatic proxy configuration:
 Under Proxy, select option Autom. proxy configuration
Enter the URL of a PAC file Save
A Proxy Auto Config (PAC) file enables a web browser to automatically find the right
proxy server for a required URL.
