Configuring the system settings
Your Gigaset comes preconfigured. You can change the settings via the menu on a con-
nected Gigaset handset, e.g., from a Gigaset SL610 PRO, C610H, SL78H, SL400H, S79H or
S810H. The following instructions are based on a Gigaset SL610 PRO handset.
Some settings can also be carried out via the phone's Web configurator (
£ page 87).
Setting the date/time
The date and time must be set in order to show the correct time for incoming calls, for
example.
There are two methods of setting the date and time:
u Your base receives the date and time from a time server on the Internet, providing that
the base is connected to the Internet and synchronisation with a time server is enabled
(default setting;
£ page 106).
u You can also change the date and time manually via the menu on one of the registered
handsets.
Your base accepts the new time and transfers this information to the connected handsets.
