Configuring the system settings

Repeater support
You can increase the range and signal strength of your phone using a repeater. You will
need to activate repeater mode. This will terminate any calls that are in progress at the
time.
Prerequisite: Eco Mode(+) is deactivated.

§Change§ Press the display key to activate or deactivate repeater mode (³= on).

Restarting the base
When the handset is in idle status:

The firmware for the base is then restarted. This process takes about 20 seconds.
Please note
u The firmware update can take up to six minutes, depending on the quality of your
DSL connection.
u When updating from the Internet, checks are made to ensure that no newer ver-
sion of the firmware exists. If this is not the case, the operation is terminated and a
message is issued to that effect.
Please note
u Repeater support and Eco Mode / Eco Mode+ (£ page 67) cancel each other out,
i.e., both functions cannot be used at the same time.
u The default encrypted transmission setting is deactivated when repeater mode is
activated.
