Functions of the Web configurator
Quick Start Wizard
The Quick Start Wizard helps you configure your VoIP connection. It is provided on the
home page if no VoIP account has been configured yet.
The Quick Start Wizard guides you step by step through all configuration stages. Follow
the instructions on the pages.
¤ Click [Next >] if you have filled in the fields of a page. Click [<Back] if you want to
change a previous page. Use [Cancel] to close the configuration assistant.
¤ Make sure you have the registration data or the auto configuration code for your VoIP
provider to hand before you begin the configuration.
There are various ways of configuring a VoIP connection:
u Some providers support auto configuration with an auto configuration code.
If you have received a configuration code from your provider, on the first page of the
assistant select Ye s for Auto Configuration Code available. In the next steps you will
only need to enter this code. All necessary VoIP data is downloaded automatically.
u Provider profiles with the general provider data are available to download from the
Gigaset configuration server for the main VoIP providers.
If you select No for Auto Configuration Code available, in the next steps you will be
prompted to select your country first and then your provider. The provider profile is
downloaded to the phone. You then have to enter the data for your VoIP account.
In exceptional cases, you may also have to adjust the settings to suit the settings for
your router. To do this, use the Telephony
¢ Connections page on the Settings
tab,
£ page 99.
u There is no provider profile for your provider.
If this is the case, you must enter all settings yourself via the Teleph ony
¢ Connections page on the Settings tab,£ page 99. Your VoIP provider will give
you the necessary data.
Please note
If you have already set up a VoIP account, you can use the Settings menu to set up
further accounts or to change the settings for an existing account:
