You are helping to protect the environment
with your Gigaset SL78H.
Reducing energy consumption
By using a power-saving adapter plug, your
telephone consumes less power.
Reducing radiation
(dependent on base)
The radiation can only be reduced if your
base supports this function.
The transmission power of your telephone is
automatically reduced depending on the
distance to the base.
You can reduce the radiation of the handset
and base even further by using Eco Mode or
Eco Mode+. For further information, please
refer to your base user guide.
Setting an appointment
(calendar)
You can use your handset to remind yourself
of up to 30 appointments.
Anniversaries(
¢ page 30) entered in the
directory are automatically recorded in the
calendar.
You can set whether the graphic calendar is
displayed in idle status. To do this in idle sta-
tus:
§Calendar§ ¢§Options§ ¢ Show Cal. in Idle
(³=display)
Press §Change§ to activate/deactivate the func-
tion (³=on).
Saving an appointment
Requirement: The date and time have
already been set (
¢ page 12).

u Today's date is selected (bordered in
orange).
u Days on which appointments have
already been saved are highlighted in
orange.
r/q Select the required day in the
graphic calendar.
The selected date is bordered in orange.
Today's date is bordered in white.
w Press the middle of the Control
key.
u If appointments have already been
entered, this will open the list of saved
appointments for the day.
Use <New Entry>
¢ §OK§ to open the
window for data input.
u If no appointments have been entered,
the data entry window will immediately
open to add the new appointment.
¤ You can enter data in the following fields:
Appointment:
Select On or Off.
Date:
Enter month/day/year in 8-digit format.
Time:
Enter hours/minutes in 4-digit format.
