Several ʻspecial charactersʼ can be embedded into these strings. These are:
•
LaserSearch (displayed as ʻserchʼ)
•
LaserDisk/DVD End (displayed as ʻLdEndʼ):
•
Start Timer (displayed as ʻtimerʼ):
•
Get anything (displayed as ʻ__?__ʼ):
•
End Of String (displayed as ʻ_end_ʼ):
•
Eight Bit Binary value (displayed as ʻ_BIN_ʼ):
•
Two character HEX value (displayed as ʻ_HEX_ʼ):
•
Three character BCD value (displayed as ʻ_BCD_ʼ):
h) Edit String n:
This is used to select the string to edit. The number of the currently selected string (1-
9, A-F) is displayed. The Br-SDC will ask you for the string number to edit (1-9, A-F).
The selected string is printed in UPPER case letter to make it a little easier to see.
