COLOR SIGNAL NAME:

PC and Compatible Connections: To cross wire the RS-422 / RS-485 signals from the FSK/RTU Unit to
the RS-232 serial port of an IBM compatible, cross connect the signals as follows:

2 3 DATA OUT - SERIAL DATA IN TO FSK/RTU Unit (GREEN)
3 2 DATA IN - SERIAL DATA OUT FROM FSK/RTU Unit (BLACK)

Apple Macintosh computers have true RS-422 serial ports built in. To connect to the Smart Brick
System, the pin out is as follows for a Macintosh mini-DIN-8:
to + serial data in to card (#5 yellow)
to - serial data in to card (#4 green)

The FSK/RTU Unit expects to see the serial data in the following format:
ONE START BIT
EIGHT DATA BITS
ONE or TWO STOP BITS
Unlike many of the products manufactured by Gilderfluke & Company, the FSK/RTU can not share the
serial port with other devices at the same time. The screen is displayed when you enter:

To redraw the screen at any time, just press the <ESC>ape key. If the FSK/RTU is set for FSK data, then
the following screen will be displayed:
