Installing the batteries

□ To open the timer (O), push out the cover (4).

□ Install the two AA batteries (N) included by matching the positive (+) and Negative (-) ends on the

battery (N) to the (+) and (-) markings in the timer (O). The negative ends of the battery (N) should

always connect to the spring end of the battery slots in the timer (O).

□ Reinstall the timer cover (4) by pushing into place.

NOTE: The base of the control valve will ﬂash red when its time to change ﬁlters and batteries. When it double ﬂashes, 6 months have

passed and its time to replace the ﬁlters. When it ﬂashes a single fading ﬂash, 1 year has passed and it is time to replace the ﬁlters and

the timer batteries, then press reset button for 5 seconds to reset timer.

NOTE: Use only AA Alkaline batteries. Identify the Anode (+) and the Cathode (-) to install the batteries properly.

To avoid battery damage: Do not recharge or disassemble batteries; Do not mix old batteries with new batteries; Do not use carbon

batteries; Do not expose batteries to extreme heat. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (ni-cad, ni-mh, etc)

batteries.
