YPL3-10C AIR CONDIONER Q & A
1. Why the Cooling Mode will not start immediately if the unit has been turned
OFF and then ON right away
A. The compressor has a self protection function. There is a 3 minute compressor
start-up delay so as to protect service life of compressor. After the 3 minute delay the
compressor will turn ON and start the Cooling mode.
2. How do we know when the Water Container is full.
A. When the water container is full, the compressor will stop and “FL” will be
displayed on the control panel. If the container is full, drain the water from water tank by
uncapping the lid and removing the rubber plug from the drain port and let the water
drain out
3. Why is the Water Container getting full frequently
A. Normally the water container will not fill up wile in the cooling mode because the
unit has a self-evaporative feature that recycles the condensation water. However, if the
Unit is running constantly in the Cooling Mode in a high temperature / high humidity
environment, the vaporizing function can not keep pace with the water accumulation and
the Water Container will fill up often
4. How long is the life of the filter. How do you clean the filter and how often
A. Average life of the filter is one year. If the unit is being used constantly, dust
trapped in the filter can decrease the efficiency of the unit. The filter should be cleaned
every 2 weeks. Clean the filters by pulling them out from the back. Dip and wash the
filters in warm water (about 105*F) with a PH7 rated cleaner. Afterwards dry the filters
in a cool ventilated area.
5. The unit is dead or there is no cooling mode
A. If unit is dead, check the House Circuit Breaker, check the unit AC Power Cord,
and the Power Line fuse in the unit.
Check that the Timer and Temperature setting are correct on the control panel
Check the control panel for error messages:
If “FL” shows, the Water tank is full.
If “E2” shows, means Room Temperature Fault.
If “E3” shows, means Coil Temperature fault.
6. In the Cooling Mode the air is not cold
A. Check for blockage in the air intake or output.
Check if filters are too dirty.
Check for any heat sources near the cooling unit.
Check the Temperature setting and check the fan speed .
7. The Compressor is running but the air is not cold
A. Possible Freon leakage.
