• Never use your hands to remove sawdust, chips or waste close by the bit. • Rags, cloths, cord, string and the like should never be left around the work area. • Support the work properly. • If you are interrupted when operating the drill, complete the process and switch off before looking up. • Periodically check that all nuts, bolts and other fixings are properly tightened.
• To reduce the risk of an electric shock, unplug the charger from the power supply before attempting to clean it. Removing the battery alone does not reduce the risk. • Never attempt to connect two chargers together. • Do not store or use the tool and battery pack in locations where the temperature may reach or exceed 104°F (40°C) such as alongside sheds or metal structures in the summer. • The charger is designed for use from a standard household electrical supply (230–240 volts).
The tool must be used only for its prescribed purpose. Any use other than those mentioned in this Manual will be considered a case of misuse. The user and not the manufacturer shall be liable for any damage or injury resulting from such cases of misuse. Note. The red LED charge indicator (10) will show that the battery is correctly inserted into the charger cradle and is on charge. The battery charge time is approximately 5 to 7 hours. If the red indicator light does not come ON, check to make sure the battery pack is inserted fully into the charger cradle and the electrical outlet is working properly. Note. The red light will switch off when the battery is fully charged, indicating the battery is no longer charging.
Forward/reverse switch The forward/reverse switch (4) will allow you to change the direction of the motor while the trigger switch is not depressed. Drilling uses the forward mode. The reverse mode is intended for the removal of screws. Inserting and removing bits This drill has a keyless chuck (1), which means that a chuck key is not needed to secure a bit in the drill. 1.
Adjustable torque This drill is equipped with 16 torque settings plus one drill setting which are controlled by the torque collar (2). By rotating the collar behind the chuck, it is possible to adjust the torque. This will allow better control when using the drill as a screwdriver as it prevents overtightening of the screws. For drilling, always use the use the Drill position by aligning the Drill symbol with the triangular indicator on the front face of the drill near the torque collar.
Cleaning 1. Keep the tool’s air vents unclogged and clean at all times. 2. Remove dust and dirt regularly. Cleaning is best done with a soft brush or a rag. 3. Re-lubricate all moving parts at regular intervals. 4. If the body of the sander needs cleaning, wipe it with a soft damp cloth. A mild detergent can be used but nothing like alcohol, petrol or other cleaning agent. 5. Never use caustic agents to clean plastic parts. CAUTION. Water must never come into contact with the sander.

Unpacking Battery charging Due to modern mass production techniques, it is unlikely that your GMC Power Tool is faulty or that a part is missing. If you find anything wrong, do not operate the tool until the parts have been replaced or the fault has been rectified. Failure to do so could result in serious personal injury. IMPORTANT. Before inserting into or removing the battery pack (6) from the battery charger cradle (7) always ensure that the plug is not in the mains socket. ATTENTION.
If you wish to charge a second battery pack, pull out the plug from the mains supply and keep it disconnected for at least 15 minutes before attempting to charge the second battery. To obtain the best life for the battery Never allow the truck to come to a complete stand still before recharging the battery. The battery should be placed on charge whenever the battery is noticeably running down or the truck no longer performs as it previously performed. Avoid conducting short charges.
WARNING. High voltage wires and/or transformers, concrete walls or narrow places may promote erratic behaviour or loss of control of the vehicle as a result of interference. Interference may also be encountered if another remote/radio controlled product or CB radio is operating on a similar frequency.
