Safety rules for laser lights General safety rules WARNING. Read all instructions. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. The term “power tool” in all of the warnings listed below refers to your mains operated (corded) power tool or battery operated (cordless) power tool. Save these instructions 1. Work area a. Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents. b.
b. Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired. c. Disconnect the plug from the power source before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. • Never reach over the blade to remove waste or off cuts. • Do not attempt to free a jammed blade before first switching off the machine. • If you are interrupted when operating the saw, complete the process and switch off before looking up. • Periodically check that all nuts, bolts and other fixings are properly tightened. • Do not store materials or equipment above a machine in such a way that they could fall into it. • Always hold the saw on parts that are insulated.
11 Know your product Before using the jigsaw, familiarise yourself with all the operating features and safety requirements. Use the tool and accessories only for the applications intended. Adjusting the shoe for angular cutting Switching the jigsaw on/off The shoe plate (4) should be kept flat against the work piece when making a cut. It can be tilted left and right to change the angle of cut. CAUTION. Always ensure that the jigsaw is switched off and plug is removed from the power point before making any adjustments. 1. To adjust the angle of cutting, first turn the jigsaw upside down and lift the shoe lock (17) to the vertical position. 2.

Refitting a new blade 1. Ensure the blade change control (12) is pressed down, slide the new blade into the locating groove in the blade clamp with the teeth pointing forward, ensuring that the blade rear edge is located and supported by the blade guide (7). 2. Release the blade change control and the blade will secure firmly in place. 3. Replace the plug and run the jigsaw under no load to check that it runs smoothly and the blade is secure before using it to cut any materials.
Power cord maintenance If the supply cord needs replacing, the task must be carried out by the manufacturer, the manufacturer’s agent, or an authorised service centre in order to avoid a safety hazard. General inspection Regularly check that all the fixing screws are tight. They may vibrate loose over time.
