4.1 Backing up Data from a Scale
1. Make sure the scale is plugged in, turned on and there is nothing on the weigh platter.
2. Select the scale from the left side of the screen. Details of the most recent backup for that scale will display on
the right side of the screen. See Figure 36-1.

3. SelecttheBackupbutton.AleSaveAsdialogopenstospecifytheleinwhichtosavethescaledata.Select
aleandclicktheSavebuttonorassignthebackupanewname.
4. ScaleLink Pro 5 Lite Maintenance Utility starts receiving data from the scale.
Note: A dialog box will appear displaying the progress of data transfer. The transfer can take a few
minutes, depending on the volume of data on the scale.
5. Adialogboxwillappearwhendatatransfernisheswithasummaryofthereceiveddata.Thiscompletesthe
backup.
Note: If any errors occur during communications with the scale, an error message will appear. In this
case the backup will not be performed.
