Power
Glyph uses efficient, high-quality power supplies, selected specifically
for the demands of production environments.
Our power supplies have a large amount of headroom, so your Glyph
system will function, for brief periods of time, with AC lines
significantly below specified limits.
Glyph FireWire devices, even when they’re not turned on, will pass
signal and bus power through to downstream FireWire devices.
Glyph’s FireWire solutions are 100% compliant with FireWire
specifications for reliable operation using FireWire’s repeater
functionality.
About the GT 205
The GT 205 is a double-space five-bay FireWire enclosure. It can be
configured with four GT Key hot-swappable FireWire drives in any
available capacities, and its SCSI/FireWire expansion bay offers the
option of AIT backup, SCSI or FireWire hot-swap receiving bay,
DVD-R/RW or CD-R/RW. The four standard GT Key FireWire
hot-swap drive bays on the GT 205 are connected together using an
internal FireWire hub, and have two out-facing FireWire ports, which
are the lower connectors on the rear of the chassis. If the device in the
expansion bay is SCSI, it uses two SCSI connectors on the rear of the
chassis. If the expansion bay device is FireWire, it uses two additional
FireWire ports on the rear of the chassis. The expansion bay ports are
always the upper ports on the back of the chassis.
