INTRODUCTION The 4-Port HDMI Extender/Splitter Over CAT5e/6 Up to 50M with IR extends high definition 1080p HDMI signals from a source device to 4 displays up to 50 meters over CAT5e/6.
PACKAGE CONTENTS The following items are necessary for the correct setup, use and maintenance of your HDMI splitter and extender: Prophecy 4-Port HDMI Extender/Splitter over CAT5e/6 Kit (TX & 4 RX units) 5x Power adapters (1x 12V/2A for TX, 4x 5V/1A for RX’s) IR-TX cables (5) & IR-RX cables (5) User’s manual Mounting ears (10) & screws (20) If any of these items is missing, please contact either gofanco or your vendor.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Transmitter Unit (Front Panel) 1) Power Switch: Powers off the splitter when the “O” side is depressed, and turns on the unit when the “—” side is depressed 2) Power LED: Glows when the splitter is powered on 3) HDMI input indicator: Lights when unit is attached to an HDMI source that is powered on 4) HDMI output indicator: Lights when unit is attached to a local HDMI display that is powered on 5) EDID switch: Allows user to manually set the EDID code 6) IR-TX port: Transmits
Transmitter (Rear Panel) 1) CAT-5e/6 output ports: Sends out the converted HDMI signal to a receiver (up 50m away) 2) HDMI pass-through output port: Can connect to the input of another splitter (for daisy-chaining) or directly to a HDMI display 3) HDMI input port: Takes in the video signal from the HDMI source 4) Power input port: This is where the splitter receives power from the 12V DC power supply 7
Receiver Unit 1) Power status LED: Lights when unit is powered on 2) Signal status LED: Lights when receiver detects that it is connected to a transmitter unit 3) Cat5e/6 input port: Receives the signal to be converted back into HDMI.
HARDWARE INSTALLATION 1) Connect an HDMI signal source, such as a game console, Blu-Ray player or set top box (STB) to the HDMI splitter. 2) Connect the HDMI display (such as an HD TV) into the HDMI output of receiver. 3) Connect one Cat5e/6 output of the HDMI splitter and one input of a HDMI receiver by a Cat5e/6 cable. 4) Plug the IR TX and IR RX cables into the matching IR ports of the splitter. 5) Plug the IR TX and IR RX cables into the matching IR ports of the receiver.
