Copper O-ring Installation Instructions

1. First thing you will need are your tools and the wire. (Fig. 1)

A. Hammer with wood handle

B. End-Cut wire cutters

C. Supplied copper wire ( there is enough for a couple practice installs )

2. After getting the tools, place the block head-side up on a clean work bench.

3. Make sure the o-ring grooves in the block are clean. Use a toothpick to clean if

needed.

Make sure the o-ring grooves in the block are clean. Use a toothpick to clean if needed.

4. Place the wire into the groove starting from the top of the intake side as seen in (Fig 2.) 5. Using the butt end of the wooden handle hammer, GENTLY tap the wire into place. ( Fig 3 ) Continue tapping all the way around the bore. CAUTION: Tapping too hard will damage the wire making it useless! Make sure the wire is seated all the way down in the o-ring groove and as smooth as possible.

6. Line up the end of the wire and find where to cut the wire to end. (Fig. 4)This is not a skill, it is an art of patience and good eyes. 7. Cut the wire carefully! (Fig.

8. After the wire is cut to the desired length, tap the end into place.(Fig. 6) There should be no overlapping of the wire and there must be no space between the wire ends. (Fig 7) A. If there is an overlap, get a sharp tool to lift up one end of the wire for trimming. B. If there is a gap between the wire ends, remove the wire and start over following these steps again.

9. Complete the o-ring install by repeating these steps on all cylinders. You are now ready for your head install.
