CLEANING TIPS
Treat the xture gently! Regular cleaning will reduce the need for deep cleaning. For regular cleaning, turn off the light and wipe down the
xture with a clean lint-free cotton or microber cloth. Never spray cleaner directly onto the xture.
FINISHING THE INSTALLATION
5.Placebackplate(F)overmountingbracket(B).Insertsmallscrews(A)intothesideholesinbackplate(F)tosecureittomounting
bracket(B).
6.Slideshade(I)overcandlesleeve(J)intosocketclip(H).
Installalightbulb(notincluded)inaccordancewiththexture’sspecications.Donotexceedthemaximumrecommendedwattage.
Yourinstallationisnowcomplete.Turnonthepowerandtestthexture.
Twistknob(K)clockwisetoturnonthexture.Topowerthextureoff,twisttheknob(K)counterclockwise.
PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION
Remove all of the contents from the carton. See the important notes above. Remove the old xture from the wall, including
the old mounting bracket.
1.Mountingplate(N)isattachedtobackplate(F).Tobegin,removemountingplate(N)frombackplate(F).Placemountingbracket
(B)upagainstyourjunctionbox.Positionthemountingbracketsothattheholesonthesidearelevelandparallelwiththeoor.
2. Leaving at least 8 to 10 inches of cord for wiring, use a pair of wire cutters to trim the plug from cord (L). Pull the cord up
through the hole in the bottom of backplate (F) and plug the hole with stopper (P).
3.Pullthehousewiresfromthejunctionboxthroughthecenterofmountingbracket(B).Securemountingbracket(B)tothe
junctionboxwithmountingscrews(D)andascrewdriver.Tightenthescrewssecurely.
CONNECTING THE WIRES
4.Striptheplasticcoverfrom1-2inchesofcord(L).Thexture’sgroundwireshouldbewrappedinsideofthebackplate(F).
Unwrapthegroundwire.Attachthexture’swirestothehousewirespulledearlierfromthejunctionbox.ConnectHottoHot
(blackwire,transparentwirewithblackinnerthread,orsmoothwire),NeutraltoNeutral(whitewire,transparentwirewithwhite
innerthread,ortheribbedwire),andGroundtoGround(greenwire,transparentwirewithgreeninnerthread,orthecopper
wire).Twisttheendsofeachwirepairtogether.Secureeachconnectionwithawireconnector(usuallyorange).Makesureall
twistsareinthesamedirection.Ifthereisnohousegroundwirecomingfromthejunctionbox,pleaselocategroundscrew(E)
onthemountingstrap(B)andwrapthexture’sgroundwirearoundgroundscrew(E).Useascrewdrivertotightenthetopof
groundscrew(E)ontothewiresandintothemountingbracket/mountingbracket.Tuckthewiresintothejunctionbox.
