PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION
Remove all of the contents from the carton. See the important notes
above. Shut off the power at the circuit breaker and completely remove
theoldxturefromtheceiling,includingtheoldmountingstrap.
1. Take the mounting strap assembly from the parts bag. One end of
nipple(F)shouldbeattachedtomountingstrap(A)withwasherandhex
nut (C and D) in place.
2. Adjust nipple (F) within mounting strap (A). Place canopy (G) up to
themountingstrapandthreadnut(I)ontonipple(F)underthecanopy.
Checkforgapsthatwouldpreventthecanopyfromsittingushagainst
theceilingwheninstalled.Removeandadjusttheheightofnipple(F)until
thedesiredheightisreached.Thenremovenut(I)andcanopy(G).Place
aside for future use.
3.Usemountingscrews(B)andascrewdrivertoattachmountingstrap
(A)tothejunctionbox.
4.Oneofconnectorrods(N)hasthexture’swiresinside.Hook
connectorrods(N)totheframeatloops(Q)andthenpullthexture
wires until taut. Attach the top of connector rods (N) to canopy (S) at
loops(R).Toploop(L)isonthexturewires,butnotattachedtothe
bodyofthexture.Passthexturewiresthroughtoploop(L).Pullthe
wiresuntiltautandthreadtoploop(L)ontothexturebody.
5.Bymeasuring,determinethecorrectnumberofchainlinksneeded
forproperhangingheight.Ifnecessary,useapairofplierstoopenand
removeanyexcesschain.Attachonechainconnector(K)toeachend
of chains (J). Use one of chain connectors (K) to attach chains (J) to top
loops(L)andcloseeachchainconnector.Feedthexture’swiresup
throughonesideofthechain(everythreelinksorso),pullingthewires
until taut. Use the free chain connectors (K) to attach chain (J) to canopy
loops (H).
FINISHING THE INSTALLATION
7.Raisecanopy(G)uptotheceilingandtightlythreadnut(I)ontonipple(F)tosecurecanopy(G)inplace.
8.Slideglassshades(P)oversockets(M)andsecureinplacewithsocketcovers(O).
9. Installlightbulbs(notprovided)inaccordancewiththexture’sspecications.Donotexceedthemaximumrecommended
wattage.
Yourinstallationiscomplete.Turnonthepowerandtestthexture.

CLEANING TIPS
Treat the xture gently! Regular cleaning will reduce the need for deep cleaning. For regular cleaning, turn off the light and wipe down the
xture with a clean lint-free cotton or microber cloth. Never spray cleaner directly onto the xture.
CONNECTING THE WIRES
6.Haveanassistantsupportthextureweightwhilecompletingthewiring.Cutawayexcesswire.Attachthexture’swirestothe
powersupplywiresfromthejunctionbox.Connectblacktoblack(orsmooth);whitetowhite(orribbed);groundtoground(green
orcopper).Twisttheendsofthewirepairstogether,thentwistonawireconnector.Makesurealltwistsareinthesamedirection.If
thereisnogroundwire(greenorcopper)fromthejunctionbox,locategroundscrew(E)onmountingstrap(B)andwrapthexture’s
groundwirearoundthegreengroundscrew(E).Useascrewdrivertosecuregroundscrew(E)ontothemountingbracket.Tuckall
wiresneatlyintothejunctionbox.
