CLEANING TIPS

Treat the xture gently! Regular cleaning will reduce the need for deep cleaning. For regular cleaning, turn off the light and wipe down the

xture with a clean lint-free cotton or microber cloth. Never spray cleaner directly onto the xture.

PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION

Remove all of the contents from the carton. See the important notes above. Shut off

the power at the circuit breaker and completely remove the old xture from the ceiling,

including the old mounting strap.

Thisxturemaybemountedwithrodsasapendantorwithoutrodsasaclosetotheceilingor

semi-ushmount.

1.Takethemountingstrapassemblyfromthepartsbag.Mountingstrap(B)containsseveral

threadedholes.Twoofmountingscrews(A)shouldbeattachedtomountingstrap(B).You

mayneedtotightennuts(C)thatholdthesescrewsinplace.Ifthescrewsarenotattached,

pleaseholdcanopy(F)uptomountingstrap(B).Lineuptheholesincanopy(F)withtheholes

inmountingstrap(B)andinsertmountingscrews(A)intomountingstrap(B)sothatmounting

screws(A)protrudethroughtheholesincanopy(F).Mountingscrews(A)arelong,soplease

testthecanopyagainstthemountingstraptoseehowfaryoushouldinsertthescrews.

Tightennuts(C)ontomountingscrews(A)toholdthescrewsinplace.

2.Placemountingstrap(B)overthejunctionboxandsecureinplacewithmountingscrews

(D).Tightenthescrewssecurelywithascrewdriver.

ASSEMBLING THE FIXTURE

3.Rods(L)areonthexture’swires,butnotconnectedtothexture.Bymeasuring,

determinethecorrectnumberofrodsneededforproperhangingheight.It is possible to

install the xture without using any of rods (L), by connecting swivel post (I) directly

onto post (M). Please see the diagram for SEMI-FLUSH INSTALLATION.Ifinstallingasa

pendant,connectrods(L)togetherandthentothexturebodyatpost(M).Tolengthenthe

xture,addadditionalrods.Ifadditionalrodsareneeded,contacttheplaceofpurchaseto

order.Toshortenthexture,slideanyexcessrodsoffthexture’swirestodiscard.Trimthe

wiresafteraddingatleast8to10inchesofwiretothedesiredlength.Twisttoprod(L)onto

thethreadsofswivelpost(I)ofcanopy(F).Locktherodinplacebytwistingthescrewon

swivelpost(I).Pullthexture’swiresthroughthetopofcanopy(F).

CONNECTING THE WIRES

4.Haveanassistantsupportthexture’sweightwhilecompletingthewiring.Refertothe

wiringdiagramandattachthexture’swirestothepowersupplywiresfromthejunctionbox.

ConnectHottoHot,NeutraltoNeutral,andGroundtoGround.Twisttheendsofthewirepairs

together,andthentwistonawireconnector.Makesurealltwistsareinthesamedirection.If

thereisnohousegroundwirecomingfromthejunctionbox,locategroundscrew(E)onthe

mountingbracket/mountingstrapandwrapthexture’sgroundwirearoundthegroundscrew.

Useascrewdrivertotightenthetopofgroundscrew(E)ontothewiresandintothemounting

bracket/mountingstrap.Tuckthewiresintothejunctionbox.

FINISHING THE INSTALLATION

5.Pushcanopy(F)uptotheceilingandtightlythreadnuts(H)ontotheexposedthreadsofmountingscrews(A).

6.Installlightbulbs(notprovided)basedonthexture’sspecications.Donotexceedthemaximumwattage.

7.Slidemetalcages(N)uptothebottomofcaps(P).Securethemetalcagesinplacewiththeremaining

decorativenuts(H).

Please note that you can move the light source at joint (O) to adjust the angle of the light source.

Yourinstallationisnowcomplete.Turnonthepowerandtestthexture.
