Battery Connection (Clock time backup) To use the unit on battery power, open the battery compartment cover (23) by pressing and pushing it according to the indicated direction “ ” and insert 2 x 1.5V /‘AA’ Size batteries (Alkaline recommended - not supplied) into the battery compartment, in the direction as shown in the line drawing. Switch on the unit by pressing the On/Standby button (2), then press Function button (8) to change to “ CD ” mode and the LED will have “ - - - - “ flashing. Push the CD tray open (7) to open the CD tray. Place a CD with the printed side facing up and then close the CD tray. Focus search will performing and the LED display will have “ - - - - “ flashing.
