HIGH VOLTAGE! To avoid property damage, personal injury or death due to electrical shock, this unit MUST have an uninterrupted, unbroken electrical ground. The electrical ground circuit may consist of an appropriately sized electrical wire connecting the ground lug in the unit control box to the building electrical service panel.

2 Shipping Inspection 5 Pre-Installation Considerations Always t ransport t he unit upright ; laying t he unit on it s side or t op during t ransit may cause equipment damage. The inst aller should inspect t he product upon receipt f or shipping damage and subsequent invest igat ion is t he responsibilit y of t he carrier. The inst aller must verif y t he model number, specif icat ions, elect rical charact erist ics, and accessories are correct prior t o inst allat ion.

Kit nomenclat ure can be f ound in Table 1. Installation Location NOTE: These air handlers are designed f or indoor inst allat ion only.

1. Bef ore invert ing t he air handler, remove blower access panel and coil access panel. The coil access panel and t ubing panel may remain screwed t oget her during t his procedure. Remove and ret ain t he seven (7) screws securing t he coil access panel t o t he cabinet and t he six (6) screws securing t he blower access panel t o t he cabinet . 2. Slide t he coil assembly out f rom t he cabinet . Use t he drain pan t o pull t he assembly f rom t he cabinet .

7. 1 T ubing Size For t he correct t ubing size, f ollow t he specif icat ion f or t he condenser/ heat pump. 7. 2 T ubing Preparat ion All cut ends are t o be round, burr f ree, and clean. Failure t o f ollow t his pract ice increases t he chances f or ref rigerant leaks. The suct ion line is spun closed and requires t ubing cut t ers t o remove t he closed end. HORIZONTAL LEFT NOTE: To prevent possible damage t o t he t ubing j oint s, do not handle coil assembly wit h manif old or f lowrat or t ubes.

Loosen t he 13/ 16 nut 1 T URN ONLY t o allow high pressure t racer gas t o escape. No gas indicat es a possible leak. Excessive torque can cause orifices to stick. Use the proper torque settings when tightening orifices. 2. If t he secondary drain line is required, run t he line separat ely from t he primary drain and end it where condensat e discharge can be easily seen. 13 15 Achieving 1. 4% Low Leakage Rate Ensure all t he gasket s remain int act on all surf aces as shipped wit h t he unit . These surf aces are areas bet ween t he upper t ie plat e and blower access panel, blower access and coil access panels, and bet ween t he coil access and f ilt er access panels. Ensure upon inst allat ion, t hat t he plast ic breaker cover is sit t ing f lush on t he blower access panel and all access panels are f lush wit h each ot her and t he cabinet .
