GETTING STARTED
Before using your HERO3 for the first time:
1. Insert microSD, microSDHC™ or microSDXC™ card into the card slot
with label facing forward, narrowest part of card first. A Speed Class
10 rating is recommended.
2. Place battery into camera.
3. Charge battery. Included lithium-ion battery comes partially charged.
Connect included USB cable to camera; connect other end of cable to power
source such as computer, GoPro Wall Charger or GoPro Auto Charger.
* Red Indicator Lights are on when charging.
* Red Indicator Lights turn off when fully charged.
* No damage will occur to the camera or battery if used prior to full charge.

CAMERA DEFAULT SETTINGS
The HERO3 camera has been pre-configured to start with the following default
settings:
Video Resolution Video 960p-30fps (NTSC)
Photo Resolution 11 Megapixels (MP)
Time Lapse Interval 0.5 seconds
Burst Photo 10 photos in 1 second
Wi-Fi Off

GoPro periodically releases updates and new features to its HERO
line. Check to see if an update is available for your camera. See
