Vapor Equalizing Valve
INSTALL on radiators in room in which thermostat is
located, and on all radiators that effect the thermostat.

Vapor Equalizing Valve
INSTALL on radiators near the boiler and in warm rooms.

INSTALL on radiators farther from the boiler and in cold rooms

AIR ELIMINATOR
INSTALL one or more Air Eliminators at the end of the short
main or the main running to the warm side of the building.
INSTALL two or three No.1 Air Eliminators at the end of the
long main or main running to the cold side of the building,
depending upon the size of the building, use a No. 2 Air
Eliminator. (See Installation Data on back page)

Air Eliminator
INSTALL one or more No. 2 Air Eliminators at the end of the
long main or the main running to the cold side of the building
as required. (See Installation Data on back page)

The above drawing illustrates a typical steam heating installation, using the
correctly sized Gorton Vapor Equalizing Valve on each radiator to make all
rooms heat evenly and comfortably. The use of a No. 2 Gorton Air Eliminator
at the end of the long main, and a No.1 Air Eliminator at the end of the short
main is also indicated.
