5.4.1 General Procedure for Creating Test Structures
After selection with the MEM key, all setting options for the cre-
ation of a tree structure are made avail
able on three menu pages
(1/3, 2/3 and 3/3). The tree structure consists of structure ele-
ments, referred to below as objects.
Results of measurements/tests cannot be saved but under the
structur
al elements of type „Device“ or „ME device“ – these are
also referred to as „test object“ in the following.
Selecting the Position at which a New Object will be Added
➭ Use the or key in order to select the desired structure
elements.
➭ If a sublevel exists, you can switch to it by pressing the key,
or you can open a branch.
➭ The open br
anch is then closed, or you can switch to the next
higher hierarchical level, by pressing the
key.
Creating a New Object
➭ Scroll to the second menu page (MEM 2/3) with the help of
the
key.
➭ After pressing NEW, a new object or DUT can be created. De-
pending on the current position within the hierarchy, the re-
spectively available object types are suggested. Depending
o
n the object type, you’ll have to enter at least an ID number
via the keyboard. If not all of the mandatory entries (identified
in red) are completed, an error message appears.

Then press the green checkmark in order to accept the
entered values. The display jumps back up to the higher
hie
rarchical level.
Move object (Option SECUTEST DB comfort, Feature KD01)
➭ Scroll to the first menu page (MEM 1/3) with the help of the
key .
➭ Select the object to be moved (together with sub objects) with
the scroll keys.
➭ Scroll to the second menu page (MEM 2/3) with the help of
the
key.
➭ P
ress the MOVE symbol.
➭ S
elect the position with the scroll keys to which the object is
to be moved and confirm by clicking the green checkmark.
Priority command „Move object“ (option feature E01 (touch screen)
and SECUTEST DB comfort, feature KD01)
➭ Click and hold the object to be moved in the tree view in the
initial window of a test sequence until the activity bar starts to
blink.
➭ By
releasing the finger pressure, you automatically reach the
database view (MEM) and, from there, you proceed to the
„Move“ menu.
➭ Now select the position
with the scroll keys to which the ob-
ject is to be moved.
➭ By confi
rming with the green checkmark you are automatically
guided back to the initial window.
Edit object – 
Changing the Description or ID Number of a Previously Created Object
➭ Scroll to the first menu page (MEM 1/3) with the help of the
key.
➭ Se
lect the structure element whose designation will be
changed.
➭ S
croll to the second menu page (MEM 2/3) with the help of
the
key.
➭ P
ress the EDIT symbol.
➭ Select the parameter whose description will be changed.
The keyboard appears automatically.
➭ Change the displayed designation and acknowledge your en-
try.
Priority command „Edit object“ (option feature E01 (touch screen)
and SECUTEST DB comfort, feature KD01)
➭ Click and hold a point in the detail view field in the initial win-
dow of a test sequence until the
activity bar starts to blink.
➭ By
releasing the finger pressure, the „Edit“ menu of a device/
ME device automatically opens.
➭ Having ent
ered or changed the data, you are automatically
guided back to the initial window upon confirming with the
green checkmark.
